Face McDougal
But don't you think that discussing the supposed benefits of drug taking whilst writing is nothing but an attempt to legitimise a filthy and harmful vice? You get what you want to get out of it, Typhus. I never talked about the benefits, just the fact of it happening. You're f*cking weird... a filthy vice? You have a way with words, Typhus, obviously. You have a distorted world view, bits and pieces of things I've read posted by you throughout your time on these forums suggests that. Get sucked and f*cked. Typhus
You have a distorted world view, bits and pieces of things I've read posted by you throughout your time on these forums suggests that. Would it make me sound utterly insane if I told you that I was the only one with the right world view? Because I really am. And people like you just need to understand that I am incapable of being wrong. I have never made a single mistake in my life that I did not anticipate making! Tell me Jim, how do your drugs and cassette players compare to my existence of complete, flawless infallibility?! General Goose
I personally don't, never have and almost definitely never will use drugs. I often get writers block or something, but taking a harmful and illegal substance is, in my view, not a way to make up for it.

Omnia sunt Communia
Oh, for f*ck's sake will you all just grow up. Face you're not getting anywhere for insulting Typhus on his opinion and Typhus you're not getting anywhere by posting a random person's phone number (I know you're smarter than that). So how about we all calm the f*ck down and talk about something relevant before this topic get's locked?

ObsydianRaven
I'm currently writing a Pokemon fanfiction right now. Basicly it's supposed to be based on the Mystery Dungeon spinoffs which I like better than the normal games. C'mon that wasn't funny, I think someone is entitled to write about uhhh Pokemon if that's what they'd like. @Jacky. Omnia sunt Communia
I love Pokemon! I'm not ashamed to admit it. As long as you don't make it childish and immature like the animated series then I'm sure it will sit well with me, and the rest of the forum. I use to role-play a Pokemon Gym Leader on a forum a long time ago. The story I provided them with there proved that Pokemon isn't necessarily for little kids. I've had my laugh, it's time to stop. I honestly don't see the appeal of it, I recall it seemed cool to be when I was about 7, but I never really collected anything. And after about a few months, I was bored stiff by them. I couldn't possibly imagine them as anything serious, or story worthy. But if it's good, I stand to be corrected. Well unlike the anime, the fanfic I'm writing will have more mature themes. Here are examples, The two main characters are a Treecko (male) who has shows signs and behavors of ADD/ADHD aswell as Persuasive Developmental disorder, and a Wartorle (female) who is considered a social outkast by her peers and has anxiety disorder. The story, like the Mystery Dungeon spinoffs, is set in a world where humans no longer exsist, in my story, humans were wiped out because of an artifical virus created by terrorist that had spread throughout the world. The main atagonist is a power hungary criminal who is driven by greed. Edited May 26, 2009 by sethpenguin

Oxidizer
Wow, I haven't given Pokémon a single thought since I was about ten. They were munchkins! If that's what you wanna write about, go ahead. Though it'd be interesting to see an adult-y storyline for 'em.

General Goose
A quick little CTW fan fiction. The ending contains spoilers: "Kenny" lit another cigarette. By now, the dark office was clogged up with the cloudy cigarette smoke, and a considerable number of expired cigarette butts and ash lay in and around the ash tray on Kenny's desk. Kenny flicked through the local newspaper. Apparently AmmuNation was suing the local government, and a family who lost a son in a gang war are suing both. Kenny chuckled at the stupidity, then put the newspaper aside. He could hear the busy chattering of the customers down below. Ah, those idiotic walking wallets, they actually believed they were enjoying authentic, nutritious Chinese cuisine. Those idiots wouldn't know authentic Chinese cuisine if it bit them on the ass and give them swine flu. Twirling his cigarette in his hand, Kenny peeked through the shutter blinds. In the distance, he could see a plane touch down at Francis International. Must be Huang arriving. Huang, that spoiled pampered rich brat. The boy would soon realise that, in Liberty City, success wasn't handed to you on a silver platter. More like handed to you within a pile of dog sh*t. As much as Kenny regretted the unorthodox methods in which Huang and his cargo would arrive in Liberty, he knew it was, ultimately, in the grand scheme of things, for his common good, the best way. Blood may be thicker then water. But money isn't water... I know swine flu wasn't a threat around the time of CTW, but I couldn't resist.

Omnia sunt Communia
General Goose and I have been discussing the possibility of a story based around a group of mercenaries (original, I know!). The gang of hired guns are based on characters from Dragonex's Lincoln State topic, from GTA NeXt, which Goose created: Konstantin Ivanovich: A drunk, drug abusing deputy of the gang. Served with the Russian Federation Special Forces (SPETZNAS) and was assigned to several roaming deathsquads during the Second Chechen War. Konstantin was responsible for countless killings of both Chechen insurgents and innocent civillians. After the war was over he tried to return to normal life but could not overcome the images in his head. He returned to the only job he knew he could do - killing - while also turning to narcotics in order to quell his inner-demons. Kwasi Afuom: A former mercenary from Ghana, a guy who takes his job seriously. He served as an child soldier in the Second Rawlings Coup of 1981 at the tender age of 14. There he developed a thirst for blood; though he was a lot more calm and collected than most of his cohorts. In 1991 he took part in the Somali Civil War as an independent mercenary. Kwasi eventually fled Somalia in 1998 after the warzone became so heated and dis-organized that he was failing to recieve any income for his efforts. The story will take place in Afghanistan, pre-2001. The mercenaries have been hired to root out insurgents in the country in a joint operation by the CIA/MI5. They will be dropped in Afghanistan and will scour the deserts, searching for evidence and Taleban/al-Qaeda. It will also feature flashbacks too the previous wars each mercenary has participated in: Konstantin and the Chechen War, Kwasi and the Rawlings Coup & Somali Civil War etc.

Jacky Fiend greatly expanded on them, and he will be making a few changes (new mercenaries, some haven't joined yet etc.) Anyway, Jacky, best of luck, and if you need any help, I'll be glad to oblige.
