The Unvirginiser
I keep meaning to read everybody's work, how about we set a date and all promise to have something ready and all post it on that date, then all read each other's and leave feedback? You mean we all set a date (the same one, of course) and we all have a piece to share for then? As well as leaving feedback? Sounds ace to me. Yeah, say five of us all go on and post a piece, then read four others and all receive four pieces of feedback... should set the wheels in motion surely? Jean Capel
Well let's keep the ball rolling and set a date then! So that we all have some time to acquaint with the new year, how does February first sound to all?

Rhoda
February 1st sounds like a decent date to me. Gives us plenty of time to shift the holiday fuzz and produce something completely new.
Oxidizer
Opinions, opinions. In BD there's some turf being tagged and I thought of an insignia for the gang in question and, although I like it, I'm worried it might be a bit... lame (putting it mildly). It's of two golf clubs and a spade (of the card variety) in the shape of a skull and cross bones. I like the look of it in my mind's eye but I can't help but think that it's a bit of a stupid symbol for a serious gang.

Oxidizer
Er, maybe not then. The only reason I figured I's use two nine irons as part of the design is due to a character getting their jaw (and subsequently face) demolished by one. Though I think I might use it (and the aforementioned golf club killing) for another gang story that came to me earlier this evening called Queenpin, which is a kind of noir. Rhoda
I have to say I love the title of Queenpin, just sounds good on the ear. Obviously it'd have to read well, but I wouldn't know because I've not seen anything in so long it's giving me a headache. Eh, Andy? Haha. In regards to my own plans, I've got a few ideas down for a good year of writing, hopefully more than just single part stories. Although, I will be writing a few of those because you can't exactly drag every idea out into several chapters. A lot work better stood alone. I look forward to seeing some, and wish you all the best throughout the year, definitely. Andy, too. If you finally get something written this year, I'll be so happy. Haha I've got no my plans myself. Haven't written in about 6 months. Just not there.
Oxidizer
I have to say I love the title of Queenpin, just sounds good on the ear. I'm glad you like it. It's kind of Sin City-esque. This is the official summary for it: Set in Germany, QUEENPIN is a noir based around a homosexual kingpin and his brutal gang of misfits and the Reichsparteitagsgelände. Andy, too. If you finally get something written this year, I'll be so happy. Haha So will I, so here's hoping! Edited January 6, 2010 by Oxidizer
Osric
Anybody ever play the White Wolf role-playing games? You know, Vampire: The Masquerade, Hunter: The Reckoning, Demon: The Fallen, etc. Well, I've just gotten into them, well, at least the new ones like Vampire: The Requiem, but I have some knowlege of the old ones. Maybe a story set in the World of Darkness could be interesting.

VCRules86
I'm currently having a big dilemma regarding my writing. I just posted my first chapter to Bandits, my 30s bank robbery story but I still wanna do some work on my GTA Family Loyalty which I have been quietly keeping going for a long time now but interest in it has dwindled severely and I haven't gotten any feedback in literally months, I'm starting to take that as a sign that it isn't that great but I don't know if I should soldier on and finish what I started with FL or devote my time to Bandits
Jean Capel
Well, as you may or may not have guessed, I don't share most of my feature-length pieces, for one reason or another. However, there is a piece I'm working on as of tonight that I intend to post. Working on a title. Edited January 10, 2010 by Jean Capel

Ziggy455
My notes and plans for my game are running smoothly; The story and weapons are being revamped as of now but here are a few things I've acomplished lately: The title of the game is entitled; Warzone. As of now, there are only 7 spaces available, including me, instead of countless users packing up factions, I have created two characters to a faction. Factions consist of: SAS, North Korea, Russia and U.S.M.C. Stories will be graded on qaulity and qauntity (Whoever decides not to post a story in a while will be removed from the game.) A health system is introduced, certain wounds can take off a certain percent E.g Gunshots: 5% Explosions:25% Knife 30% with a constant 5% loss of health for every story the woun isn't treated. However health kits, or any medical care can not be placed in a story unless purchased. Money is earned like BUYA, Stories are rated, however unlike being graded, Moderators can allow as much cash should be recieved. Plans baby! PLANS! "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how." You have to monitor your character's health, and if it goes down, you have to spend your money on health kits to get it back up? Look forward to a bunch of super soldiers that, whilst engaged in constant combat, never get injured. They'll always manage to be just out of range of that explosion, or that bullet will narrowly miss them as they dodge out of the way in the nick of time. I mean, people do that in BUYG where healing yourself with your own money is of no concern. Hell, I'm guilty of it myself; it's far less of an inconvenience to write in that my character just avoided being shot in the arm. I'd hate to start the next chapter being released from hospital clutching a bed of medication. It would just disrupt my flow of this big, bag Albanian brotherhood, who now have to take tablets 3 times a day with every meal time. No disrespect at all though Ziggy, you're a good man and you have some great ideas, but unfortunately I don't this is one of them. Perhaps a new way of introducing it? One that could work around the fact everyone would be invincible, and would be shooting at the enemy with a large piece of shrapnel poking out of their shoulder blade. I don't get this, i don't remember being graded in BUYG. or BUYA, those were always money, so am i missing something? But other than that sounds good. But i agree with this: No disrespect at all though Ziggy, you're a good man and you have some great ideas, but unfortunately I don't this is one of them. Ziggy455
Like I've said; plans. A health system was never going to be added until I thought of a fair system. However it's still in plans and any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated, people here complain about BUYA clones and how they've been blown to sh*t. Maybe you guys could give me a few ideas which would make my game better for YOU! Give me a few pointers in which would make the game reliable, yet not another BUYA game. Go ahead, I'm open. TV1213
Maybe instead of buying stuff, people get it shipped to them by you every like 5 stories, and you say what's in it, could be nukes, pistols, or nothing cause it got stolen, and you can create territories. Irish Homie RU4-69
I could create a BUYA pretty easily. I'm thinking Russian Civil war, oh wait letting people write Irish Republican Army as an ACTUAL ARMY rather than a freedom fighting organization, include the Japanese randomly, and have the most chopped up weapons list imaginable. Yep, pretty easy. Seriously, I don't see what made it so popular. BUYA borderline sucked.
Oxidizer
Well, added a new bit to my collection. ...not that anyone cares to comment... I noticed that too. We all ignore other peoples' ideas and post our own, which is then ignored by another person's idea, and so on and so forth, something I'm very guilty of myself. I think it's funny more than anything though. Regarding feedback though, and I can only speak for myself, the only reason I rarely dish any out is 'cause I have to be genuinely interested in what I'm reading, otherwise my comments will just be the usual 'good job, will be following this ' kind of thing, and I rarely find anything that I can really get into in terms of storylines, characters and their arcs, y'know? Trust me, the coding, story, and keeping up with it was hard work, it was why the thing fell down in the first place due to inactivity. First thing I've done is limit the spaces a f*ck lot down. Eminence
Ziggy, I'm gonna side with him here, it was pretty basic. If you stumble so much on coding you probably aren't the guy to be running it. It's not that hard. No offense.
