I'm still working on the latest chapter of my Zelda story cause I've been so busy with high school.

So, any ideas why it's so dead around here recently? I know this sounds shallow, but I don't wanna post new stuff because I know it won't even be read.

School starting up, summer ending, busy busy. I still drop by here quite often but haven't really followed any stories or left feedback since Eminence's "Poison". Hopefully you'll all see something from me soon.

Yeah, it does seem a bit empty, it's unusual to see week-old+ topics not far down the first page. Per'aps it's with people restarting school/college/uni? What new stuff you got planned?

While I am working on Liberty City Legends, I was also thinking of a short story set in The Elder Scrolls universe. Any fans?

It'd focus on a young female Dunmer(Dark Elf) named Melissa, who is a bookworm and lover of magic, although as for the actual conflict, not sure how it would work. Maybe she accidentally uncovers a Daedric cult. The story would be set after the events of Oblivion, where Cyrodill is now a republic and the Empire of Tamriel would be dissolved.

Or maybe I should just finish Liberty City Legends, school is busy enough as it is.

Lethal Nizzle
I'm thinking of an alternate history piece based on where Germany wins WWII, occupying all of Europe from Britain and Ireland all the way to Urals, where a weakened Russian army (remnants of the defeated Red Army who didn't surrender and the Partisans) commanded by Zhukov. The US is coming apart, with huge economic strife following the end of the war in 1945. The Cold War between the two nations however does intensify, and I'm planning on a little espionage tale with two agents counter acting each other and hunting each other down across America, both from Germany, but one is an SS agent with an unwavering devotion to the Reich, and the other is a Brandenburg paratrooper who is seriously considering defecting to the US and handing over several important nuclear missile plans, which would revolutionize the floundering American defense technology.

I really hope it can get me back into writing, as I've already got the basic outline for the back story regarding the alternate WWII timeline already developed. The story itself will be set in 1961.

Sounds like you put a lot of though into that, if you manage to put this into motion I will definitely read.

Like other people have said, school's starting up soon, and for me it's Monday. I haven't contributed here for a while now, but I have two decent pieces in my coursework folder at school, like I've mentioned before. If I can, I'll sneak the pieces out and post them here.

Nice idea El Zilcho, you're going to have to come up with a radical they would win though. In the end Germany had so many people ass raping them it would've been sh*t hard to win.

Got a new idea coming up, fellas. I've only gotten a little snippet of dialouge written though, the rest of the time I've been planning.

But anyway, here's said dialouge:

“Motherf*ckers die everyday. It’s the way of the street. You f*ck up, you get f*cked. Just depends if you’re lucky or not.”

“Lucky?”

“Yeah. You see some of the sh*t that’s been going down? People are getting tortured and having their bodies dumped in the middle of the street. And that’s the lucky way to go around here.”

I'm pretty sure Cocaine Cowboys is a film, if that's where you got it from chunk? Sounds promising though.

Thanks, I was planning on saying that successful offensives in 1941-1942 take Moscow and bypass Stalingrad, securing the Volga without heavy fighting. Having Leningrad surrounded, an offensive in Summer 1942 would knock back the Russians beyond the Volga and take Leningrad in time to dig in for winter. The capture of Stalin and destruction of several armies (along with the capture of oil in the Caucasus and transport links) means Russia's ability to wage war is almost totally destroyed, so the tattered remnants of the Soviet Union sue for peace, although most of the strongly resolved men (Zhukov) fight on in the Urals as a resistance force.

A successful Battle of Britain II (with more advanced jets on the Luffwaffe side) helps in taking Britain after a successful Operation Sealion, with a strengthened Germany navy just holding onto superiority in time to off load enough troops and tanks to capture London and Churchill. With England's steadfast commander joining Stalin, Britain collapses before further damage is done, as the whole country is saturated with troops. However, as in Russia, the resistance holds strong. American troops, with no "stepping stones" to land troops, are forced to leave by sea before they are surrounded. As Germany nearly fully develops nuclear weapons, America withdraws fully form the war in the west, resigning from the war (except for Japan, where the war continues until 1945 as in normal history).

For the storyline I want it to be a very detailed, rich James Bond esque thing, but not over the top. It should be realistic and gritty, so the agents in question won't be dashing or charming, but men sent in work as volatile combatants. So they won't be wooing women but strangling those who stand in their way. I'm still working on initial ideas and as I mentioned before I haven't been able to write anything recently that meets my standards but hopefully that will change. Once again, thanks for the interest, it really helps me to know some people are looking forward to this, that goes for you too Lethal Nizzle. icon14.gif

I'm also thinking of writing a new story. I'm not sure if anybody would even bother to read it though.

It's going to be a sort of serial killer esque story, but I want to put a few subplots in it and such, and a few nasty twists. I've been thinking about it a lot the past few days. Problem with me though is that I have a vibrant imagination it's just putting my ideas down onto paper (or a thread in this case) that stumps me.

@Zilcho, seems you got it planned out. Seems good, glad you did your homework!

"Will there be any support? How will I get back?" His tone is stressed, drawn out. Kurt was never good at waking up early, and today was no different. A transatlantic night flight didn't shift and adapt to his schedule, so this early morning start hadn't gone down well.

"I'm afraid I can't say" A dark shadow replied almost immediately, looming from the rear of the cargo section. Kurt looked back at him momentarily before staring back out of the open door at the side of the plane. He was about to ask for Hauptmann* Kohl to elaborate, but he was interrupted by his superior, who spoke sternly and with an authoritative manner even his own superiors rarely equaled and frequently came up against, to their dismay. He was a true servant to the Reich, never doubting and always upholding the virtues of the Motherland.

"You'll find out when the time comes." He gestured through the darkness towards the door, where just above it, a green light had lit up. Kurt Dietrich stood up, clipping his parachute onto the metal trailing rail on the ceiling of the buffeting plane, preparing to jump. Just as he readied himself to depart, he remembered to salute. Turning on his heels, he saluted to his superior.

"Sieg Heil."

"Sieg Heil." Kohl replied and sat back down onto the bench. And with that, Kurt ran forward, jumping from the plane, his parachute unfurling in the cold winds as his solitary figure descended towards the ocean, as unknown as his enigmatic mission briefing.

First draft for a little bit of the story, working title, Thousand Year Reich.

I've discussed this idea with Chunk and Jacky Fiend and maybe a couple others before, but perhaps it could be a WD game kinda thing? Just an idea, mind. It'd be a GTA IV fanfic game where writers can choose characters that appear in GTA IV, TLaD, TBoGT games and write a short story about a part of their life before the game took place. For instance, one person might write about how Lil Jacob and Badman met, another about how Brucie was bullied in high school and so became what he was in IV. What d'you think?

COming to think about it, it could include all previous GTAs if anyone wanted it.

It sounds interesting, mark.

I had an idea, but it'd fall into the BUY category, and after the fall of Build Up Your Family, I'm not so sure. It'd make sense, but wouldn't simply be BUYG in another timeline like Build Up Your Family. It'd be based off of Fallout 3 and be set around the Capital Wastelands. The factions would be from the game and since they are all trying to settle a post-apocalyptic world, it could be built up, unlike zombie survivors.

These would be the factions.....

Brotherhood of Steel

The Enclave

Chinese Remnant

Raiders

Aliens

Talon Company Mercenaries(Possibly)

Can you not try and invent a new game format to do it in? Furthermore, are there even that many people interested in it? You sure you couldn't just write your own story about it, instead of it having to be a game? Everyone's sick of BUY_ and they're all trailing off anyway.

Everyone's sick of BUY_

That's twice you've spoken on behalf of everyone now.

@ Mark: I'd definitely be into that colgate.gif , especially if it included all the GTAs. I remember before I got smited down by the epic writer's block that I was toying with the idea of a Claude and Catalina thing pre-III (though ignoring the SA stuff about them). Only, I probably shouldn't have mentioned that, as everyone just doesn't give a sh*t about my ideas, at least according to Emi and Jacky (the latter being guilty of doing the exact same thing). Which is ironic considering sharing ideas is what this topic's mainly all about.

Seriously Andy, it's no hard feelings or anything against you. But honestly, there's only so much idea sharing one can endure before they want to see some form of progress.

I concur. I was beginning to avoid this topic for fear of seeing another useless character blueprint and "I wish I could just write this!" rant. Seriously, no one cares about these ideas and flings until they've been pieced together. Just shut up, close your browser, open MS Word and write. If you can't write, we don't want to hear about what you could write.

You know what, mate? I really am past caring. I've put up with enough of your sh*t for the past couple of months, I don't even think I like you anymore, and I'm not even joking. Which is a f*cking pity 'cause I always thought you were alright. But now you're just a rude, miserable little bastard (I'm not unaware of the irony of this reply) who seems to take all his problems out on me and just expect me to take it every single time.

But honestly, there's only so much idea sharing one can endure before they want to see some form of progress.

Oh, so you can be cival.

But for what it's worth, I do agree. I just didn't think what I said was offensive enough to be sniped at yet again. That and I'm not the only one not to deliver on the goods.

Just shut up.

Yeah, that's good advice. Now kindly hop off the bandwagon.

Bandwagon? Now kindly kiss my ass. It's the general opinion, buddy, and you're the reason for it. I have nothing against you personally, but hell, I'd much rather see some actual writing rather than plans to write, and that's all I ever see from you. You're a writer (I think?), you know how criticism works and you know how to better yourself because of it. I'll say it again. Shut up and write. Take it or leave it.

What I fail to understand is how you can get so defensive about a problem you actually admit to having.

Chill out guys inlove.gif

I like your Third Reich idea Zilcho, I had one similar myself years ago about a group of Brazillian partisans who are trying to fight back against the Nazi army in the rainforest. But the Nazi army had giant rhinos, elephants and tigers that they'd super-sized in a lab - kinda like Lord of The Rings, as well as flying saucers. Never did write it, probably because it made no sense.

But I'm behind an espionage flick 100% here, seems like you've put a lot of thought and effort in to it so good on ya!

Me? Well, a few Jack Palmer chapters are written, but I want to figure the story out before I post. I might delay the entire thing until it picks up in here, I'll still be writing, but not posting.
