actually the mesh was fine. it was a UVmap problem that caused the mesh to be bugged. so i had to rebuild one triangle for the model.

yeah, now that u mention it, there is more than 2 or 3 ways to have that problem that u had whit the alpha face!

it has nothing to do with the alpha channel. sinse im not using it. i know what im doing, man.

i was saying the alpha channel thing cuz i had problems like that using alpha channel and uv mapping in a bad way, but if its not that, its the thing i sayd about the faces that need to be flipped or just a leak betwen 2 faces...

im not sure why it was invisible. but i do know it was 1 single trianlge in the mesh itself. maybe it was backwards maybe i changed soe values by accident. i dont know. i just replaced it with a new one, welded it and uvmapped it. and the model was ok again.

yo, Guys, wazzup? i thought a week ago, ugh.. i wish there was one, atleast ONE, Luis Lopez Player model, not the boring old Vanilla IV one, i hate that confused.gif well.. the next day i asked vans123 to lend me the head, well you kno wha?..

ah its cool man, seems well rigged, but i would recommend you to do as fast as you can the hands, since you will have to edit every single top texture to add a piece of hand texture on it since SA uses the same texture to get the hands UV mapped, and its a pain in the ass to open again every single rigg to organize unwraps so hands fit

 

EDIT: man, its me or those hoodies have low res texture?..i remember mine with a nicely HD texture and i see you have the neck going out of jackets xD

 

i will recommend you to delete the stuff you will never see, Luis doesnt have open jackets or stuff that let the chest go out and seem for the human eye so delete every poly of the neck till the polys starting to show off and problem is solved smile.gif

Apply the bump and spec map to the textures wink.gif

doing it by SA default support?(if yes then i much interested in knowing how) if its using Ryosuke's crazy scripts...they always have a fail that ends f*cking everything

I said apply it to the texture like applying AO to a texture im sure goin know what im talking about

no need for bump map shader or scripts just photoshop knowledge:

wow, i like the johnny klebitz bumpmap one, his hair looks a lil' bit like concrete tho xD but.. meh, still good work icon14.gif

@Vans123: I can solve tht Neck prob, and i dont think i can get a more high-poly texture of hoodys cos i just borrowed 'em somewhere from the internet xDD

thats how it looks in IV i used IV's Bump map and spec so its not my fault lol

lol, still nice work xDD BTW im rigging the shoes and hands ATM, well, ive rigged the hands just not done the texture tounge.gif soon ill rig his earpiece from when u do tht mini-mission, at Massionette 9 or somet like tht tounge.gif

Using the PC which won't run any games sad.gif, can't not do any modelling for this long it's bad for my health, and as for the fact I have none of my VCHD files I figured i'd do something completely different, with any luck my PC will be fixed in the next 2 weeks! anyways here's what I did

and also rigged and animated a walk cycle are done, I tried to find a nice balance between realistic and cartoony, I think it turned out quite nicely (pay attention to his big floppy feet tounge.gif)

Add the spec and normal map to a new layer, and set both of them from "Normal" in the drop down box to "Overlay".

That isn't even that hard. Would be great to use it on SA conversions.

Its pointless, the diference is not that big.

Thats because you havent really seen other models like the Parachute WOW it had a HUGE difference

but either pointless or something else it gives more detail it and looks better and you gotta admit that.

also you need to desaturate the normal and make it darker to give more depth.

Nice shoe, though a more detailed texture could work.

 

I wanted to experiment with hair and fur, so what's better for that than Cookie Monster?
