I dont understand why doing this

the models from Zbrush are too highpoly and you cant get them to SA unless you lower the polys

You're adding too much (unnecessary) detail to the higher subdivision levels and too few to the lower levels. Try detailing the lower levels first, then moving upwards and detailing there. (I'm assuming you use Zbrush)

 

For example, you have random large bumps on him which don't look too nice. The pores look nice though. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to give some supportive criticism. wink.gif

 

Try to work on the detailing on lower levels and smooth out those big bumps and it'll look ALOT better. smile.gif

 

@Quechus: Zbrush (versions 2 and 3.1) can generate normal maps from the high resolution models. So you can use those normal maps (and other maps you generate from Zbrush) in game engines (like Source I think). Not GTA SA or anything though sad.gif, IV when the tools come out, certainly. biggrin.gif

That's my Vercetti HD lowpoly mesh with a normal map generated from the highpoly meshes.

 

That's the beauty of Zbrush. Though without Zmapper (version 3) that functionality disappears and you have to do it like Jost-Vice said, but some older PCs like mine will explode upon trying such a thing.

@quechus13: Because of the normal maps and aldo you can make better textures combining normal maps and new textures from ZBrush.

 

 

BTW, I didn't make it from scratch, I took the head base model from GTA IV.

I didn't wanted to make confusions.

Are you talking about CJ?

 

CJ:

Ears: 90%

Nose: idk how to make it better

Texture: It obviusly needs a new texture because the original is 128x128 confused.gif

Need to start over again and there isnt too much to do to him because he is already HP. (Meaby ears)

6- Make a cleo to make him appear near and inside Area 69.

 

And meaby better feet.

@MateoGallardo: If you want better textures, use navetsea's CJ skin tweak. That has lovely textures. And I bet it'll look badass with your HD CJ.

Update on Wolverine. I finished the base mesh of the head. I gotta make the teeth next. Dunno what after that, probably the body. After that, Zbrush.

Looking good, txdeditor. The texture edit looks very decent, actually makes CJ look old indeed.

 

I made Wolverine's mask to give the impression it's him, cause the pics I showed don't immediately tell you it's him.
