I got Makehuman and I gave it a go. Seems pretty good, aside from the lack of hair options. I know you can make some in Majestic Designer and that would work, but I'm having trouble exporting the model.

actually its done already...but i want to wait the newer version of OpenFormat and OpenIV..they said in the next update the normal maps will work better...

Hi guys, I was bored a couple days ago and decided to do this because well whatthehell it only took 3 hours,

it's supposed to be tommy in the 70's, back when he was ready to be known as the harwood butcher.

I was thinking about expanding it as a big mod with Portland in the 70s so I also started making a map for that, but i'm not sure if its worth it

Looks nice, i see the face is supposed to be smoother because he's younger but maybe it's a little too smooth? Add a tiny bit of noise or something. For a few hours work i can't complain though. :)

I'd be willing to help out on that '70s LC project, SA Engine i presume? I hope so.

 

Here are some random but off-topic mapping examples of what i've done in the past, i can do mission scm scripting too. I "cleaned up" the SALC version of LC (isolated the map only files, removed some random non-cannon clutter, restored the quad-tree optimisation of the collisions and other boring crap like that) for the ROCS teams mod. That map could be used as a stable base to begin making the new version of '70's Liberty.

yeah its sculptris..not so professional program...i ever tried mudbox and zbrush before...but its too hard for me...

@Indra, Are you going to break symmetry at all? I think it would make him a lot scarier. Imagine one shrunken head or something lol

Looks nice Indra, I think it looks fine even without the normal map.

By the way, is that one crooked finger intentional or just part of the rigging? (the little finger on the left in the last picture).

thanks...the model rigged with ped's skeleton...ped skeleton doesn't have bones for the little finger, so ped's litle finger will move together with the ring finger....make it look weird..

 

anyway i've re exported the model using ofio...now the normal map work good... it seem the error occurs in Gims...i hope they will fix it soon...

Nah, it's Gandalf. Could push the likeness a little bit more, but 3ds max on my laptop couldn't handle high res mesh to be rendered properly.
Yeah, looks similiar but McCaffrey didn't have those big eye bag though.

its look good already...just ned more wrinkle i think...if you remove the beard, change the hair, he can be magneto too...btw how do you made the hair?...is that polygonal?

Wrinkle is already done via mudbox, but if i import it to 3ds max, it lag so hard. So i need to lower the subdivison.
Hair is via hair and fur, just for fun, since i dont really know what i was doing.
