Poly count is 2000 ( Still can go lower, but will lose the detail)

Modeling his body is damn hard.

I'll work on his jeans, and shoes first.

 

Oh, btw, what kind of dog is Sam ?.

You Can Go Low You don't need many polygons on top head , the eye bols to the cheeks you can lower it more and still have the same details smile.gif)

 

Just work on it find those parts that look good without many polys

 

and fix the nose ad the mouth smile.gif) make the more real .Mouth is better nose need fix

I guess you guys remember the Michael Jackson mod by GTA Dedan and me?

 

Well, I finaly got my hands on Topogun and decided to re-make the low poly version of MJ head Sculpt by GTADedan.

Since Im not that good with heads... specially topology... the wires make look odd in same places, and there is a triangle in 1 or 2 places, but I will try to fix that (specially the topology between nose and L eye).

 

Since now I can make retopology easier, I will start using Sculptris (Zbrush makes my head hurt, and I don't have the time to learn it now) to sculpt highpoly meshes to create AAA game like models (like in IV). I might do a current gen version of MJ for IV.

Obiously it's not finished. With MeshSmooth it has 5,312 triangles (2,656 polys) only.

 

The original model by GTADedan has like 115,268 tris (although it had more, I reduced that in Sculptris a long while ago).

Hmm, what about the hair? in Topogun, it has things sticking out, etc. In 3ds max its all gone?

Im just gonna add a few planes with alpha. Why would I model 3d hair like that? Waste of polys, that's the point of redoing the model.

I posted this in the SAIV topic, but the amount of pages that it has kinda swamps everything, so I figured I'd post here, HD CJ, complete with matching textures, the shoe textures are made by Rokas (and used with permission of course)

not pretty bad for the first try, i supposed.

Kinda hard to make the texture.

Arm textures are darker than rest of his torso. Or actually his Torso has some kind of specularity while the rest dosn't.

 

Should be easy to fix.

Haha, I saw that on Polycount.

 

That's also a nice Shaun you have 69_black_69, he looks better than I thought he would. Try a shot at getting the orange hair. I believe his hair was supposed to be more blonde in Shaun of the Dead, but lighting and editing made it look more orange.

Looks good, but the webbing in his armpits and the short neck sucks.

@ Bam: The only problem is that his body is muscular except his neck and shoulders.. he has no muscle definition in his shoulders and his neck isn't poking out like it should on a guy that ripped. Take a look at these pictures, see how a defined shoulder kinda rounds off the side of the arm and little 'packs' poke off the side of your neck.

EDIT: Also I think his chest is too short.The original CJ's chest was huge when he was on max muscle. I mean that his chest is too short and his torso is too long, that's why his ab's look stretched out.

Honestly, by comparison the torso models of mine and original CJ are the same proportions, so they won't change much, but I'll look into it.

You do know the head is five eyes with equal distance for each part wide right ?

Don't worry, it's low poly (for now) , below 500 polys.
