People overrate tablets. Tablet is a sure great thing, and it's very handy for drawing and painting, but it won't help you get textures more realistic. For jeans you should make a jean pattern and tablet wouldn't help you at all.

If you cant draw, it will not, but if you can, it becomes extremely handy, i mean it, even if you are doing realistic textures, it helps you a lot.

I have lame tablet, but later this year I'll be getting Intuos and that will help me a lot

I want to make a good cartoon style ped.

Because i had some crazy idea about it.

 

You don't need to draw anything to get a nice jean pattern.

Lots of tuts in teh internet i've read, some of them only use effect from Photoshop.

Lots of bugs, not looking pretty good ingame (you know, bump won't work with it).

And i play GTA IV in low setting,so....

btw, rigging to GTA IV won't give an awesome look.

Bump isn't working at the moment, and the model is too shiny .

So, not so much different with SA.

About artwork, how about less anime, and more realistic human proportions? Looks like like you do have talent, but do something about it, anime doesn't require talent, do something that requires talent.

I kinda disagree with your statement, anime do require talent. Talent doesn't mean you must do realistic stuff. Searched on the webs for some amazing anime stuff, see if you can make something like that.

with constant colours, it will not. my character is not smoothed, and thats why it looks good or better atleast.

Basicaly, what you have to do, is turn of shadows, you can search for tutorials, depending on what you use

Because render won't effect how it will looks ingame.

It will look good. I dont know about GTASA, but VCS and LCS uses unsmoothed models, and they rock in game

Well, I guess you have to be an artist to understand what I'm saying. Anime is just too formal, everything is the same just different colors and sizes. It doesn't require talent, it requires a lot of practise.

Rokas: I totaly agree with that. But, actualy, anime or manga do need talent to become popular or really well drawn and have a good composition.

 

And yeah, i know, Catalina is so much japanese arted, but yeah, when i was a kid, all i did draw was anime and manga, so i still feel it ruining my artwork, i try to take it off, but iot doesnt go :\

The thing with the movie, is that I saw the original movie from the 60-70's (can't remeber) and it totally spoiled me the movie. Although they changed the dramatic ending with a stupid Hollywood hero and explosions sh*t. (Thanks god they made the alternative ending, similar to the original movie)
