Xbox 360 controller stopped rumbling?

I remember when I used to have collisions and things it would rumble but now...it doesn't. Also sometimes it switches off randomly in the middle of game play, is it batteries perhaps or is my controller busted already?

Is it play and charge kit?

Is it Pro, Arcade or Elite?

My friend has an Elite and this same sort of thing happens to him.

my first inclination would be the battery source, second is just like you were saying maybe the controller motors took a sh*t.

If it's the latter of the two you could always buy the motors and replace them, but it's quicker just to buy another new one tbh.

That all being said i don't think it's a battery issue, more of the rumble motors.

oh and @chanandler wtfl does it matter if it's aracade-pro-elite-Pc dozingoff.gif

controller is controller regardless of whatever is synced to

I, personally, doubt, that the controller's motors are dead. You said, that the controller itself switches off randomly, so it's not related to the motors. Unless you have two different problems. Another thing might be that the wireless thing itself might be damaged in a way. Or the batteries. Unless the batteries are at fault here, isn't buying a new controller easier? I don't know how much they cost, though...

Sounds like your controller is damaged.

The problem isn't going to go away on it's own. I'd suggest selling it, then using that money to invest in a new controller, unless you could fix it yourself, which I have my doubts.

Christ sake changing out motors in controllers is embarrassingly easy,

it's just a matter of unplugging them and plugging the two new ones in. wink.gif
