So to me, you look like another console kiddie spitting his dummy and doing their damndest to ruin the PC section with your trolling. Yep, ruining the PC section with a single thread containing a couple of facts. I don't think anybody here is a "Console Kiddie", and it's a rather childish way to treat people who may want to use a gamepad with a PC game. Still,that doesn't mean that he can call like 90-70% of the GTAIV PC players cheaters just because the company missed another bug in the game,and nobody even knew about it until he brought it up. Facts in this thread that people may not have been aware of such as the recoil not affecting mouse firing. Clearly a bug. Heck, for a fair game, I even use the mouse, doesn't mean that it should come down to that though does it. Considering it's the PC version, I'd say he's a PC gamer. I am a PC gamer, and I am not offended by his sarcastic comments, not entirely sure why you are. Why do you keep commenting it's in the PC section, it concerns the PC version of the game! Where else would it be. Can we please stop the petty arguing, on both sides. I saw c06alt's comments as just a dry, tongue-in-cheek joke and not some heinous attack on pc gamers or Rockstar Toronto (neither of which I think needs defending, both gamers and Rockstar have tougher skin and broader shoulders than that). Given that C06alt is a known modder, I somehow doubt he's out to strike a dagger through the heart of pc gaming. The lack of recoil is a valid point but I don't think it's a huge issue personally, and certainly not worth 4 pages of arguing. PC games like this will always be better played with keyboad and mouse, maybe not to this extent with GTAIV, but there are inherent advantages in the system over a joypad. This happens, because on the net, every1 is faceless, you can't see their smile...even if it is cynical... So he "became" a troll, due to the misinterpretations and comments you made about him, tbh I cant blame him, I lol'd a bit myself at some of you. Ive seen C06alt in mp since counterstrike, he was well known then cuz of his mods.. Throughout various games of flashpoint, arma(evolution/killjoy=Co6alt), gta's, CS etc.he has always been known as a top modder. I'm sure we all agree, consoles dont let you mod too much. When some1 o his experience makes a comment about programming this, or this should be that, I would think thats its because he has spent a bit of time researching and generally knows wat he's talkin about, lots of games, lots of mods, lots of years experience etc He made a valid point, definately about recoil/choppers, & the recoil is completly unfair and does destroys gameplay V's mice I also use a mouse, and I couldnt really give a f***, but I was unaware until this post, so now I am informed. I have noticed this issue, and I am always wondering why players die so fast. Whether it's me or the other guy, kills don't feel as their supposed to. I'd love for this bug to be fixed. Helicopters are un-flyable with mouse . . . controller is the only way. Hood view . . . I don't use. Mini-games could have been made so much better . . . WSAD + Arrows works great for me, though it would be nice to have an option to disable mouse flight completely to use mouse for camera pans without holding mouse 2. on topic though if there isn't recoil with a mouse I do think there should be. EDIT: I just jumped in game and checked it out, cant believe I didn't notice that before, maybe a combination of dishing out headshots and that the reticle gets bigger suggesting the recoil is taking effect making me miss it or somthing. I've gotten a few perfect games in bowling too so unless the problem is that it is too easy I'm not sure I ee the bug there. In pool the only problem I have is getting a good break. I'm used to how it is now, you can't just force changes of key elements like that through patches after so long. I have nothing against them adding it to the mouse in the the next GTA, but the game should be left as it is. I think it would be pretty cheeky for Rockstar after 6 months to turn around and be like "Woops, we forgot we actually wanted game play to be like this not this... we had better change that and give you no option" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes you're right, its a bug, recoil isnt in fact "missing" at all when you use a mouse, but its smaller than when using a gamepad. As i mentioned in the first post if roll was on the left right mouse axis and pitch was on forward back as it is the act of moving the mouse would be similar to moving a joystick in a real chopper. each movement of the mouse can be used to balance the chopper making it easy to hover. As any good pilot knows if you can master the hover in a chopper, the rest just falls into place. If you're referring to the mouse, then there is no diff' in SP and MP. the unreal laser accuracy is still there, we could really use a fix. EDIT: If you're referring to a higher controller accuracy then it doesn't fix the problem this thread was meant for.
