"I know it's terrible. But what you don't understand is that I write the reviews. I run the advertisements. People will see this movie, and I will get my money back. And your careers will be ruined. It's a giant sh*t sandwich, and your all gonna take a bite, and your gonna eat it, and your gonna smile."-Evil Movie Producer, Metalocalypse.

"Miller:Riven, I don't gripe to you. Gripes go upwards. You gripe to me, and I gripe to the Lieutenant. That's how things work.

Riven:Okay, so what would you say to me if I was a Lieutenant.

Miller:Well then, Lieutenant, I think this is a great mission, and a totally useful way to spend military resources."-Cpt. Miller and Pvt. Riven, Saving Private Ryan.

I absolutely LOVE that Dave Chappelle, I would pay to get his comedy show back on the air! Honestly

Didn't want to use this one again, but "The mind is like a parachute, it only works well when it's open!"

Jay Leno was talking about his work ethic, along with Jerry Seinfeld I believe it was... Saying "What if we took a vacation and ACTUALLY enjoyed it?!?!?"

The whole conversation was on being workaholics who didn't take real vacations and the thought was they would enjoy it too much and not find the impetus to get back to work. The comments were dated, but I can only relate TOO closely to that thought!!

Make Love not War I heard on morning radio came from the same guy who invented the 'rubber'.

I believe.

I also think I recall him being French

Seriously Slamman, I don't know how you manage to steer the conversation from quotes from films and music, all the way over to a Frenchman who invented condoms? I mean, WTF! You must have some special powers of idiocy or something, and I admire it.

"I seem to remember in 1980 John Lennon was shot. Yoko was a bitchy Japanese woman, and the Japanese have small dogs, which I don't like because one bit my balls in 4th grade, which was a bad grade because I failed the tests for Science, because I didn't get the question on birds."

Anyway,

"I've got a headache."

"Is it a tumour?

"No, IT'S NOT A TUMOUR!!" - Arnie in Kindergarten Cop.

In this particular post he's giving some of the back story on the quote. I can't think of anything more relevant to the topic.

I for one appreciated it, presuming it's accurate of course.

John The Grudge

"The laws of capitalism, which are blind and are invisible to ordinary people, act upon the individual without he or she being aware of it. One sees only the vastness of a seemingly infinite horizon ahead. That is how it is painted by capitalist propagandists who purport to draw a lesson from the example of Rockefeller, whether or not it is true, about the possibilities of individual success. The amount of poverty and suffering required for a Rockefeller to emerge, and the amount of depravity entailed in the accumulation of a fortune of such magnitude, are left out of the picture, and it is not always possible for the popular forces to expose this clearly. It is a contest among wolves. One can win only at the cost of the failure of others."

"How tall are you private?"

"Sir, five-foot-nine, sir!"

"Five-foot-nine, I didn't know they stacked sh*t that high!"

"If you ladies leave my island, if you survive recruit training, you will be a weapon. You will be a minister of death praying for war. But until that day you are pukes. You are the lowest form of life on Earth. You are not even human, f*cking beings. You are nothing but unorganized grabastic pieces of amphibian sh*t. Because I am hard you will not like me. But the more you hate me the more you will learn. I am hard but I am fair. There is no racial bigotry here. I do not look down on ni**ers, kikes, wops or greasers. Here you are all equally worthless. And my orders are to weed out all non-hackers who do not pack the gear to serve in my beloved Corps. Do you maggots understand that? "

If you don't know where this is from or who this is from... you aren't worthy living on this planet!

Being I am suckered into Lord of the Rings films again,

I do feel that right up there with Arnold Schwarzenegger's "I'll be Back" from Terminator.

"You Shall Not Pass!!!!" followed up by "Fly, you fools". Gandolf the Gray! haha

I hope this didn't originate with a country song/artist, but I seem to recall my first hearing that way...

"If you don't stand for something, You'll fall for anything"

Somewhat related; "If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against it me"

Why Common Thieves Are Better Than Socialists:

Thieves have the guts to do the job themselves.

Thieves don't steal in the name of "justice".

Thieves don't masquerade as "liberals".

Thieves don't comprise a unified political mob of millions.

Thieves don't loath freedom and individuality.

Thieves don't undermine the Constitution.

Thieves don't promote mind control via "political correctness" and "hate" crimes.

Thieves don't own/control the "establishment" media.

Thieves don't indoctrinate our children to be unquestioning drones of the state.

Thieves can be arrested.

– Mark Gilmore

The Ten "Cannots" of Political Economy:

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.

You cannot help the wage-earner by tearing down the wage-payer.

You cannot further the brotherhood of mankind by encouraging class hatred.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.

You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.

You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative.

You cannot help man permanently by doing for them what they could do and should do for themselves. - Unknown

One who uses coercion is guilty of deliberate violence. Coercion is inhuman.

– Mohandas Gandhi

What do I think of western civilisation? I think it would be a very good idea.

– Mohandas Gandhi

Orwell is starting to look like an optimist!

– Anonymous

For centuries, the battle of morality was fought between those who claimed that your life belongs to God and those who claimed that it belongs to your neighbors - between those who preached that the good is self-sacrifice for the sake of ghosts in heaven and those who preached that the good is self-sacrifice for the sake of incompetents on earth. And no one came to say that your life belongs to you and that the good is to live it.

- Ayn Rand
