I/O error 32 in IMG tool

When I click replace and get the files it says I/O error 32 and then it loads for a while and doesn't stop!Is there anyway to fix this?

io32 often has something to do with a file being already in use, was your game running? did you get rid of the read only attributes of your game folder?

I get this all the time, its basically because you've replaced the file already, i get this pretty much all the time cos im trying to find the best combination of skins mods but i usually just go to Edit>Find>(whatever you want) and then search back for what you wanna replace.

I have the answer

 

I/O error occurs because the gta3.img file you are trying to open is made read only.

If it is already NOT a read only,

then make it a read only(in properties)

Click apply.

 

Then again open the properties and untick the read only box

now open img tool and open gta3.img and click "rebuild archive"

YES I CAN!!! IT WORKS FOR ME... 1. ALWAYS OPEN IMG TOOL ON ''RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR'' AND THEN IF YOU WANT TO ADD FILE,DELETE FILE OR WANT TO REPLACE FILE... YOU HAVE TO CLOSE YOUR GAME BECAUSE IT CANT LOAD FILES WHEN YOU GAME IS RUNNING.. DO NOT MINIMIZE THE GAME, QUIT THE GAME.... I tried these methods but i still get I/O error.. 131 ... -.- :(
