Jessica NCT Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Forgot this one for the "A House In The Hills" post I made a few days ago: You know that scene in Casino Royale when James gets poisoned, gets to the DB7, puts that defribilator type thing on his chest, tries (and fails) to power it, then notice a lead's out just before he passes out? Similar thing happened with me - I'm pressing the left mouse button repeatedly without the parachute opening. Yes, remember that the stairs by the side of the helipad lead into restricted territory. You get wanted stars and police start shooting at you if you go there at any time. So if you don't have much health left at the end of the mission, be careful. The other option is to jump off the helipad onto the road. What you can get wanted level from is firing too many rocket launcher missiles. It's near impossible to take down the chopper with the regular rocket launcher which is a good reason to grab some heat seeker from the airport and be ready to spend a couple of the 10 rounds on that annoying helicopter. What's hard when you don't pick up the rocket launcher left for you at the helipad is, you don't get to see where Toreno's chopper is located and it will take a while until you're able to spot it due to the lack of the red blip in your map. igg74 Posted July 2, 2009 Share Posted July 2, 2009 Starting SA for the first time in around 3 years; I head off with Ryder on the early haircut/pizza mission, Ryder tries to rob the shop and we flee. We're being chased by the guy with the shotgun and, depite being ordered to get home, I think better and attempt to run the fella over. Not realising the cars are a lot more delicate than in GTA 4 it only takes 3 blasts to set it on fire. I bail but Ryder stays in, car explodes, Ryder dies, mission failed. I failed the first one so many times I gave up. Soon after, I passed the mission only to have the same difficulties with the ensuing missions. Damn you Zero... The mission where you have to commandeer the dirtbike whilst Big Smoke shoots at the train, I forgot the name, is the fourth hardest, after the Zero missions.... It's not for a while, but you're gonna love Cut Throat Business, if my experience is anything to go by - the first five(?) times I attempted it, I managed to lose him before I got to the bridge. I then failed the next two somewhere in boats. The next two attempts after that saw me lose him on the go karts. Then I finally passed it on attempt No9. For Air Raid on ps2 the aiming is really hard unless you are a professional and although I beat it on first try I still hate the mission. I don't even know how that happened because there was around 10 second remaining or something and the RC Barons bombed the last transmitter because a bomb was dropped and the screen went black and was loading only for me to see the final cutscene! On PC you can easily aim around with the mouse but it's a different story on PS2/Xbox. Supply Lines is easy actually. On ps2 the fuel just seems to run out way faster making it a big worry unlike the PC version where the RC Baron's health (damage meter) is more of a problem because the fuel is way more reliable. I still have trouble in Bike School. I just can't complete Jump & Stoppie 100%. My record is 98%..why the heck didn't this game let you get a Gold Medal if you have 95%+.. The Blood Bowl arena challenge does seem to be more luck than judgement. It's the same with the similar one (Blood Ring) in GTA Vice City as well. No matter how good a driver you are, if the markers don't appear in the right places where you can get to them before the other drivers then it just can't be done. But I just keep trying it. Eventually they'll appear in the right places and I can do it. As for the bike school, like with the other schools, they only award gold for 100%. With Jump & Stoppie I usually either do too much of a stoppie and go over the handlebars or I do too good a one and glide way past the markers But they are possible and it's useful to get all golds at bike school, as at flying school and boat school. I don't usually bother trying for all golds at driving school. That 90 degree parking is just too difficult. I've never got 100% on that and I find some of the others very hard as well. Editted to add: Coming to think of it, a plane also crashed on me after spending hours getting my points up taking over the gang-turf.
