Omnia sunt Communia
I was thinking - since it's set in 1977 - that I would have a music station dedicated to classic rock (wouldn't be classic, then, of course), punk rock (since it started in 1975/6 and hit it's popularity in 77) and some other genres. If people would like to make any suggestions for songs/genres/stations then I'd be more then welcome to listen to them!
Flesh-n-Bone
Sadly, there was no hip hop around that time so I can't put any music suggestions. But maybe some dub would be good.

Ofcourse you can, the 1970's had some of the best music. Early punk scene, various classic rock bands, soul, motown, glam rock.
Tyla
For Rock, maybe these would be good, KISS - God of Thunder Van Halen - Ain't talking 'bout love Montrose - Space Station #5 AC/DC - Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap Nazareth - Beggars Day Kansas - Carry on my wayward son Boston - More than a feeling Rainbow - Stargazer
Omnia sunt Communia
That Kansas song always reminds me of South Park, haha. I might start work on the radio stations soon - the only thing I know about the 70s in terms of music, though, is punk and disco. I've come up with a few ideas for vehicles: Goblin: Based on the AMC Gremlin Bug: Based on the VW Beetle Edited May 3, 2009 by Jacky Fiend
Tyla
For a long time, I thought Boston were the group behind Carry on my wayward son, but I later learned it was Kansas. Lesson learned, don't listen to torrent sites. Some of these might fit well on various stations, 10CC - Rubber Bullets Stealers Wheel - Stuck in the middle (Reservoir Dogs reference maybe) ELO - Turn to stone Rush - Xanadu (it would have to be shortened though) Pink Floyd - Money Status Quo - Rockin' all over the world Thin Lizzy - The boys are back in town Bruce Springsteen - Born to run Iggy Pop - Neighbourhood Threat The Stooges - Search and Destroy
Spaghetti Cat
Comes to mind when I think of the 70's. sorry about the quality, all the others I found were live. EDIT: bah! won't play, just click the link. No Image Available

Thing is, I'm not interested or fan of any of these music and considering Jacky himself is a punk fan he should know a lot already about the genre. visionist
Ha Ha I always wanted a new shape Beetle in IV called "Bug". Here are some car ideas: Coquette: Corvette Stingray -click- Cheetah: Ferrari 308 -click- Banshee: AC Cobra -click- Admiral: Mercedes SEL 6.9 (S Class in IV was called Schafter though) -click- Bullet: Ford GT40 -click- Sentinel: BMW 745 (May be called Oracle as the 7 Series in IV was called, but Sentinel is more traditionally applied to the 7 in GTA) -click- Buffalo: Pontiac TransAm -click-

Omnia sunt Communia
Can you please stop posting pictures of cars? None of these existed in 1977 and as such will not be appearing in Grand Theft Auto Las Venturas. Also, please don't post massive, page-stretching picture, as it's irritating. what the... the game is in 1977? i thought it was in 2007 Not my fault you can't read. Now can you please edit your post with the huge picture because it's stretching the page?
Tyla
For a later alternative to the Windsor, a Jaguar XJS? I've been in love with this car ever since I was young. They came about in 1975. Great great great SUV I know they say a picture paints a thousand words - well this one doesn't. I have no idea what make, model or even the general name of that car is there is no way I can include it. Please include a picture and name when suggesting cars - it makes my job so much easier. @Tyla: Those are spot on. I'm going to start compiling a list of cars soon and getting them ready for the front page. I saw what a great job you did with the Liberty City '71 thread and I'd like it if you could offer similar sort of skill for Las Venturas.

Omnia sunt Communia
I don't think Jacky wants a bombardment of vehicle pictures filling up his thread. I'd much prefer links - actually. Though a simple make and model along with in-game counterpart will do me just fine.
Tyla
'74 Plymouth Road Runner(and Daisy Dukes arse) - A possible Jester or Tampa? '77 Dodge Monaco - Could be a predeccesor of the Greenwood, it was also commonly used as a Taxi and Squad Car '77 Chevrolet Impala - Would fit as a Merit maybe? '76 Cadillac Seville - Possibly a Premier '72 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - Spitting image of a Buccaneer '74 Dodge B-200 Van - A Pony, or Rumpo? '73 GMC Jimmy - A Rancher '76 Ford Gran Torino Country Squire - A Perenail, or Regina? '77 Oldsmobile Cutlass - Could be the downsized Sabre because of the fuel crisis, if the Sabre and Sabre Turbo are seperate? '77 Ford Mustang II - Not really a full sized Mustang, more of a ladies version. Possibly a Uranus? '58 Plymouth Belvedere - An Ocenic, or something similar. It's got that old school Vegas/Venturas look about it '56 Cadillac Series 62 - Maybe a Tornado, or Hermes? '73 Mercedes-Benz SL - Feltzer '75 Volvo 244 - I think it would be suited as a Willard, perhaps '77 Triumph TR7 - A sporty Convertable, maybe a Flash? Omnia sunt Communia
Those are perfect Tyla! I cannot thank you enough. Tyla
Maybe Johnny and his friends, or one of the other big mafia families could drive these? It's big, it's ugly, it was desribed as a "luxury Aston Martin" and the most technically advanced luxury car in 1976. It's an Aston Martin Lagonda. It would suit the name of "Padrino", Italian for Godfather(I think). Or this Ferrari 400 GTS could take the Padrino name.
