NEW GFWL Update Fix!

only the onest customers have to suffer while those who downloaded ilegal copys of the game goes like-"what the game is broken?pfff i dont care, is not like i payed for it...ill play another ilegal downloaded game mean time"- but us the ones who payed for the game are going on forums and writeing...we go on Windows live forums and write there trying to make those peoples to come up with a fix faster etc etc.

 

Well you can pay for the game (like me and almost all gtaf users) and use xliveless, dont need to be a pirate to use it.

Of course we're getting future patches. I'm sure we'll reach 1.1.0.0 at some point.

Excellent! I celebrated the fix by going out and firing a rocket at a preacher, then blowing $50 on a hooker, and then riding a motorbike round a strip club, and I didn't stutter even once. What did anyone else do to celebrate?

No performance increase here, now its just back to where it was before it was ruined, no thanks from me, in fact please stay off my games in the future GFWL, you are not welcome.

+1 GFWL has been a disaster since day one - but since I want to be able to play multiplayer, l am forced to cope with MS's intrusive bloatware.

Try removing the previous version first.

Yea, maybe the GTA after the new update dosn´t run like before.. I´m not sure,, but what I´m sure that the game seems and runs smoother with xliveless

I downloaded this 'fix' and had a quick 30 mins this morning which was my longest run on gta4 since patch 3,lovely jubberly they fixed it........or maybe not.Just had another go and it crashed again after 5 mins with no detailed textures,no radio.But it was a different kinda crash,I hit an invisble barrier in the middle of the road brake lights come on and my wheels still turned,and the engine was still revving and I could get out me motor,but I could only run the oppistite direction to which I was driving.And then the second I nicked another car and drove five metres it froze and I had to turn my comp off

 

oh well guess Im just not destined to play gta4,just gonna have to sit tight till they release a fix of some kind.

Ok I have added the poll and kept the options down to a bare minimum. Please vote responsibly and only in consideration with the issues that the last GFWL patch brought up. If your game wasn't running satisfactorily before the botched GFWL don't factor that into your vote.

 

I just did the update in game and had a quick slam around in an infernus and things seem to be back to normal again for me.

LOL THATS SOUND GREAT! But ONLY NASA COMPUTERS WITH ADDED SUPERCOMPUTERS can have 80+ fps! Not even intel i7 920 can hae 80fps! Its damn Funny! And we should ask rockstar to do something in the upcoming patch that could get us more fps atleast!

Glad to see Microsoft fixing the problem so fast... and before the weekend, so we all can enjoy the game. I'm still wondering what the hell was in that update that f*cked up GTA IV and other LIVE games... bad programming?

 

Anyway, I didn't install it yet, but I'm gonna do it. I hope it fixes the game.

Well I just had a little play. I can say. It seems that the lagging and stuttering has gone but not fully gone. As where I was getting 37fps before I feel I’m now getting a little less.

 

Also had ago with multiplayer. Seems a lot smoother and with no lags.

 

I was just on a server where this guy was using Hacks with god mode and spawning bikes everywhere and unlimited reload with rocker launcher! I just can’t believe what this world is coming to! Hackers every where!!!

 

For the past few days I was using Xliveless as I am a full paying customer. I must say using Xliveless was far out much better than having GFWL running! I had better game play with no stuttering what so ever! Only if Microsoft and Rockstar could take this idea that some great person developed and uses it and dumps this GFWL idea. How much GTA IV would have gotten more respect despite all of this bad port report.

Sir, I run L4D at 60-80+. Do not judge me, I can do whatever I please at whatever FPS I please.
