Official gangs are old gangs from a different system to the current gang system, where gangs were more social groups than multiplayers. The gangs deemed most worthy of that time were given "Official" status and their own member group and private forums on GTAF. There are seven official gangs still around today: Zaibatsu, Leone Family Mafia, Andolini Mafia Family, The Precinct, The Connection, $outh $ide Hoodz and Feroci Racing. Official groups have different methods of recruitment, however the best method of applying would be to PM an application to a member of the group you'd like to join. Unknown and relatively new members will be rejected instantly. You've got to make an effort and have a bond with the gang you wish to join.
