If PC, just select the bunker door in the console and use the "unlock" command.

I've had to do that so many times on the New Vegas entrance gate it isn't even funny. Thank god for the console.

if only that was included in the console games. they're so damned buggy!

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.

Lol it never happened to me on the vegas door... You should give yourself the key or something...

I do remember having to manually disable some corpses in some cases...

Got a promlem/glitch,

Just completed Sierra Madre and was looking forward to starting the next dlc but after I leave Sierra madre and spawn in the Bos bunker where Elijah was camped. I receive my equipment back but when I try to leave the bunker it says I require a key and cannot be picked? Am I missing something?

I obviously came in this way. Thanks in advance.

Try clearing the cache on your console to roll back the latest patch. Then, delete the DLC and re-download it, disconnect from the network, launch it, load the save and see if you can leave. If you can, make a backup save and reconnect to live and restart to get the patch again.

Having not played NV for a while, I got both Honest Hearts and Dead Money, along with a few select mods (FOOK, Classic Fallout Weapons, Satchels n' Stuff, Weapon Mod Expansion and the AG Supplementary Uniques), along with a few custom mods I'd built for myself before. I thoroughly recommend PC players to obtain the above mods- for the most part they integrate perfectly with each other with no real conflicts, and the increase in game longevity is absurd. A quick run-through of each of the major mods-

FOOK- Basically includes a large array of crafting recipes for Fallout 3 weapons that were included in the games data files but not implemented (Deathclaw Gauntlet, Auto Axe et cetera), some of the weapons themselves (like the Chinese Assault Rifle, for instance), high-resolution textures, a vast increase in different foods, additional armours for all major and minor factions, a handy inventory sorter that makes life a million times easier, rebalanced everything, more perks, lots of minor continuity and error fixes, a few entire areas to explore, re-done levelled lists and the like. All of these are fully incorporated into the game- traders sell foods and weapons, for instance.

Classic Fallout Weapons- Adds 70-odd weapons from Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics. All are modifiable to some extent, many are used by enemies and most are sold by traders. Lots of new ammo types, again incorporated into all of the levelled lists.

Satchels- Allows you to break down scavenged armour into components, and to then reconstruct said components into new armour suits, add-ons such as rucksacks, holsters and kevlar vests. If your at all handy with the GECK, there is a whole wealth of other things you can include cannibalised from other mods and inserted into the game- basically, you can completely customise the look of your character, and most of the additional parts perform a role too (increase carry weight, damage resistance et cetera).

WME- All vanilla weapons now have three possible modifications for them, including unique ones (which often have a "special" mod that isn't available for the non-unique versions). Whole mod system has been re-arranged to allow cross-compatibility between different weapons with the same calibre.

AG Supplementary- Adds about 60 new unique weapons hidden across the game, most of which have been constructed from vanilla meshes stitched together, most of which can take 3 weapon mods (some of which need special parts to craft), to give you lots of nice things to find.

All well worth a look at...

Just got Honest Hearts. Honestly for those who don't get it yet, I can say, it is better than Dead Money. The enemy mostly beasts you'll find here are awesome and difficult to be taken down. One charged slash of Giant Yao Guai and Giant Green Gecko, and you'll be dead. The best thing in this DLC is about The Survivalist's story, well, if you immerse in the game you'll enjoy to find out what happened to him, and what he did when he was in Zion. Other than that, I can't say I enjoy the Burned Man story and those tribes. There's some glitch too, well of course, gamebryo is indeed too old to handle open ended world. Sometimes, you see an undiscovered map marker on your radar, when you get on some point, the marker disappeared. lol! So it will be hard to explore new places unless you have explorer perk.

Now I started new game, this time I'm going to side with NCR. Unfortunately, when I came in to Primm to get inside Vicki and Vance Casino, my game crashed! Tried the older save games, it still crash. Tried, disable mods one by one, still got no luck. Anyone have any suggestion to overcome this issue?

Anyway, what's the deal with bear and that high five thingy? Can't say I understand that.

Most of my mod-related crashes have involved breaking fast travel. Intermittently, if I fast travel, my game will crash on saving. So now I've just downloaded a mod to disable fast travel, and all is okay.

To be precise, it's okay when I fast travel anywhere even to Primm. The problem is not in Primm neighbourhood, but in Vicki and Vance Casino. I killed the convicts, and tried to get inside the casino to complete They Went That-a-Way. I pressed E to get inside it, then the loading screen appeared, then boom! It crashed and take me back to my desktop with windows error message.

Try using the location code and the "moveto" command in the console, or Primm Slim's code and "moveto". I've had experiences of doors breaking (Camp McCarren bugged out and wouldn't let me enter the main terminal building without crashing) but the interior area being fine. If it still doesn't work, then it might have been a mod upsetting one of the form lists and causing an error. Unfortunately, removing the mod won't necessarily fix this as some of the data is stored in the save files.

Here's what I did:

1. Do the "moveto" code to Primm Slim. Still crash, same like it was before. Loading screen, then everything turned black, guess I made inside casino for millisecond. tounge.gif Didn't try "moveto" place ID. I figured it will be the same anyway.

2. Probably the save game corrupted, both new and old save games. So I create new game. Just for a test; after all that character creation, I went straight to Primm then to VV Casino. Yep, still crash!

3. Fast travel elsewhere, then load back to Primm. That ain't helping.

So I conclude, that my game is horribly corrupted due to massive mods, I guess. The only thing left is redownload the game from steam and reinstall. But, I guess it's better to leave it that way until all DLC comes. I only have 2 more weeks before I go to Uni. So, have no time to tinker around.

Thanks for trying to help anyway. I'd appreciate that. smile.gif

You could always move whoever you need to talk to outside of Primm using the Placeatme command.

Short of that, try fiddling around with your mod order. I was astonished at how much difference tweaking the order of game ESP files made to it's stability.

Are you using CASM, the save managing mod? That almost entirely eradicated save game corruption for me.

Hm, just rename the FNVedit file to FNVmasterupdate

Simple as that, but somehow, that manual doesn't manage to explain it right... Honestly, I don't know how are you supposed to learn it without anyone else telling you D:

I downloaded that FNVedit you said from here. There is no instruction there however. So, I just extract it to the FNV directory, then rename it to FNVmasterupdate and execute it.

It loads something, then this error message popped out. It said: "An error occurred while loading modules. Editing is disabled. Check the message log and correct that error"

I read the log, and it said FNV.esm must be loaded before this "mod.esm". Done that, but still crash at VV Casino. Other places just load fine, except this blasted casino. suicidal.gif

Have you re-rune MasterUpdate?

You need to re-run it any time you change your mods. If it threw an error about Fallout.esm being in the wrong place it may not have done it's job...

The FNVmasterupdate didn't help. Then, I just got an idea, to just delete some suspicious mods, and get to the VV Casino. Still fail though. Then, I just use the pain-in-the-arse procedure. That is, disable one quarter of mods, and run the game without them. I made it there this time. So, in conclusion, one or more mods in this quarter is the one(s) who stir the game up. So yeah, tested it one by one, really time-consuming. After all that crashes, back to desktop, enable-disable mods, it turns out the culprit is "modable unique weps.esm" that is a mod which make unique weapons modable with game weapon mods.

I played this game for third time, but I didn't notice there are NCR deserter in that casino lead by a lady called Layla. Anyway, one big problem solved but create anew. Now my companions just standing around and not following me in my travel. Usually, quicksave then quickload will fix that. But this time it won't. bored.gif

PS: I noticed my game lags terribly now.

Edit2: Thanks for helping out, guys! I think I'll just make a clean reinstall. Most of my mods are old too. This time I'll choose mods carefully and make sure they're up-to-date.

When was the release date of Old Blues anyway? Because that looks quite a bit complete... But I've got a bad feeling about this...

EDIT: NEVERMIND, am I not hallucinating or we're in June already? Finally the pre-war tech my main character craved for :3

Are you using Weapon Mod Expansion or WMX as well as Modable Unique Weapons? My game really didn't like having the two installed at the same time as they re-write each other's mod list, trader inventories and just about all the weapons. Lots of incompatibility=lots of crashes.

Are you using Weapon Mod Expansion or WMX as well as Modable Unique Weapons? My game really didn't like having the two installed at the same time as they re-write each other's mod list, trader inventories and just about all the weapons. Lots of incompatibility=lots of crashes.

Yep. That's exactly my activated mods were. I didn't realized it will screwed up VV Casino until I started a new game. I thought Modable Unique Weapons was created by the same author of WMX anyway, but that probably my bad mod-greedy behaviour.

Now I reinstalled the game and reapplying mods. Going to be a lot fewer than previous time. blush.gif

Anyway, about the classic weapons mod, do they have different sound effects? If they still recycling the vanilla sound effects, then I won't install it. I'm more interested with variety of sounds. tounge.gif

Also, new version of Project Nevada is available, go check it out if you haven't. I've tested it, so far so good and there is a lot more features added. icon14.gif

CFW uses entirely new effects, sounds and weapon designs, and I believe incorporates a couple of new animations for bullpup-type weapons (those with the magazine behind the pistol grip rather than in front). They're fully balanced and everything, and because they use different levelled lists that are attributed to traders that sell them, they don't get in the way of other mods that alter trader lists.

This week the trailer and info will be released, not the DLC. They said already it will be at the end of the month, possible 27-30 of it.
