Oh god. Let me guess, a 50 foot scorpian, with insane armour that deflects mininukes....

LOL!

On the topic of enemies in OWB, I find high melee/unarmed characters very effective, for such a SCIENCE! DLC.

Yeah the proton axe does take them down in 4 or so hits. Cool weapon, nice animation in vats.

I did see, while exploring, a fifty foot scorpion, seemingly destroyed in the game world. I'm now very worried how the final boss is going to be.

And I got this nasty feeling there's something with cazadors waiting for me, too. I'm scared

When I first played NV and came across one for the first time, I screamed like a little girl. :pp

I downloaded the underground hideout a while back. To get to it, you go through a path with a bunch of cazadores. First time, dead. Second time, dead. I hate those f*ckers

I swear they move faster than the actual framerate.

Bruh you don't even....

I was making my way to one of the vaults yesterday, and I came across a swarm of those f*ckers near the bootlegging shack. Every time I killed one, 5 popped up. I died so many times. I reloaded so many times. I ran like a little girl eventually. They followed me forever. That f*cking poison, too.

Cazadors play on a personal phobia for me. I cant stand looking at them let alone fighting them.

Question, mostly for the veterans.

For my next playthrough, I would like to use a melee guy. No weapons, just close combat. If I chose my perks, S.P.E.C.I.A.L and skills well, would I fare well against Deathclaws in late-game? Or would I have to use the .50 Cal sniper for them? Unarmed or melee, doesn't really matter to me.

Melee weapons; definitely as I've done it before. You really aren't hindered here. NV really buffed the potential of melee weapons.

Unarmed; never tried it, but it's probably possible. Safest bet for that would probably be the Paralyzing Palm perk with a high critical hit % build. Kick em' while they're down.

i primarily use melee weapons so I can say that you should have no problem with high strength and unarmed/melee... bug stomper perk is a must for Cazadors (Btw its spanish for hunter) Deathclaws shall fall to your might aslong as you keep the chinese sword (the Fallout weapon mod)

Shadowfennekin

I hate both Cazadors and Deathclaws equally. I can't kill Deathclaws like at all. I have to use ALL my stealthboys just to get to Marissa for the Great Khan quest

And I bring Boone along when going into Cazador territory and hang back so he can shoot them for me, usually OHKO. If he happens to not kill one and it targets me well...... I never sell my Antivenom for a reason. It weighs nothing anyways

I don't mind Deathclaws. As long as you approach them right, they're not problem.

Cazadors and giant Ants, i can't stand them both. They're too similar to things I have a phobia on. Even the scorpians give a slight chill, but I can deal with them.

FO4 is going to be terrifying.

Pro-tip for melee builds: Directly north/slightly northwest of Goodsprings there's a tribal village. On a hill just south from that place there's a grave with a kickass unique combat knife in it. You need a shovel to dig it up so grab one from the second well from the tutorial quest or buy one from Chet. Be warned: There's a lot of cazadores on the road north of Goodsprings. You can climb up the mountains to the left of the gas station and then drop to where the grave is if you wish to avoid them (recommended).

If you have any trouble finding it, just look up Chance's grave on the wiki. It's well worth the trouble, trust me.

Anywho, since I've run out of gold I've been playing New Vegas a lot recently. Started a stealth sniper build and I gotta tell ya, it's a helluva lot of fun. I'm trying to keep mostly neutral to the major factions as well so disguises are playing a big role in this save as well. Can't wait to get an actual sniper rifle or anti material rifle though :)

I have a question.

So I'm planning to get the Enclave power armor and helmet where a sh*tload of Deathclaws are. Problem is, the helmet reduced charisma by one, and I'd prefer running full set. Now what really bugs me is that even if I have a speech of 100, while I wear the set it goes down to 99, and even that 1 point could mean a lot in some major points in the game.

Is there any way to have the full set on, while keeping a speech level of 100?

Meeting People skill magazine. Or mod the helmet in the GECK.

I'm experiencing some pretty epic performance issues. Started out my TTW save and all was good, 60FPS with ENB and 8 GB of texture packs, but in-game performance has been dropping and dropping to the point at which I've now hit about 15FPS and the whole thing is unplayable. Seems to be an issue quite a few people are reporting but no one seems to have a solution for it.

Well that sucks. Like a lot. I may just mod it, even if it's going to be my first time.

And I don't know about you, but ENB and 8 gigs of textures, that seems to be a lot. Then again, I doubt that a weak system is the cause, considering that you got 60FPS with it before.

I've never used visual mods, but I doubt that's something that should happen. On the other hand, TTW is pretty much in alpha, isn't it?

TTW is in a pretty decent working state at the moment, and the same issue manifested itself with my last playthrough too (I've since reinstalled). I had no issues with frame rate drop on my older system and a much longer mod list (Phenom 955 quad core and GTX680), I think it's got something to do with save bloat and a particular mod (though I don't know which) given it gets progressively worse the longer your playthrough becomes. If it was hardware related I'd not get 60FPS at the beginning of the game and you'd expect better performance in small cells where there isn't much processing work to do.

I don't know much about bloated saves, but I'm 100% that you know that there's some save cleaner program for that.

My guess is you will have to search through the mods, if indeed one of them is screwing your performance.

Based on what I've read the issue may be Project Reality, specifically the dynamic depth of field effect which seems to give people 20FPS even on Titans and Extreme Edition hexacores.

That could be the case, but it's kind of weird how the depth of field can bring down the FPS in such way.

The implementation is supposed to be bugged. Haven't tested it to see if it fixes it yet but am pretty hopeful given the feedback on the Nexus thread. The guy who developed it has retired from modding so its still effectively in beta

Ouch, well that sucks. I was thinking that Project Reality may be conflicting with your other mods, but I doubt that's the case, and if others are having the same problem, it's very likely that the implementation is bugged.
