Fallout: New Vegas

If the creator does go through with it, than that means he would need to voice actors, since I really doubt someone would want their female courier sounding like a man.

Obviously, but there are a multitude of talented voice actors that have worked on other New Vegas projects, and I'm sure he could probably get them interested. The whole thing seems like an incredible amount of effort, though. There's just so many unique dialogue lines.

 

Like I said, it'll be interesting, if he goes through with it.

When New Vegas was announced I was hyped after playing Fallout 3. Sadly though, I have an xbox and the console version was full of bugs & glitches. Also, there weren't many memorable missions in comparison to FO3. The thing I hated the most was they took away schematics.

 

I played New Vegas, enjoyed it, but was disapointed by the things I mentioned. It seemed like a poor upgrade to FO3.

 

I put the game away for 6 months or so and have recently started playing it since the GRA DLC was released. All I can say is... Oh my.

 

Schematics are back! No new guns (only explosive devices) to create but theres plenty in New Vegas already even without the DLC's. The new weapons/mods/ammo are f*cking sweet too. You can get bouncing 25mm grenades! Also, some of the bugs have been patched .

 

I'm starting to really enjoy it again, it still freezes and glitches from time to time but its tolerable with these new upgrades. I cant wait to get the rest of the DLC's .

You don't have safehouse per se in Lonesome Road, but you can store your items in Hopeville Missile Silo Bunker. I was storing my items in desk there (first one after the exit door to The Divide) and I didn't lose anything from there. You can also haul your items to Primm and come back to The Divide (you can leave the area anytime you want).

Thanks, I found it. LR was awesome, my favorite DLC so far. Even if it was linear. The story, the choices, the equipment and the environment were great.

Offtopic: Is there a mod or something to make Fallout 3 run on low specs PCs? Normally I'd buy it for the X360 but my friend has it for PC and I want to give it a try before getting a console version.

Well, it's a laptop which makes it even worse I guess. I'm normally a console player.

Trust me, you'll get a far better experience on console if your PC is like that. Get it on 360 (not PS3, that version is by far the worst).

I think you'll really struggle to run Fallout 3 or NV at all without a dedicated GPU.

Just finished Bounties I the other day, and I'm working my way through Bounties II right now. I was wondering if anyone had any other quests to recommend? I'm going to check out the puzzle that Zera recommended, and I've already got DEIMOS and Area 51: Project Roswell.

Have a question for you guys. Finally got round to continuing my story on NV. I've just killed Driver uh...I forget his last name, for the bounty quests on the main game. Anyway, whenever I try and enter Camp McCarran it just sits on the loading page forever. I left it for a good 5 minutes while getting some food, and it will still sit on the loading pages. I've had no other problems with getting in or out of other places just with the camp. I'm playing the Xbox version. Is there anyway I can get around this glitch without having to either miss those entire quests or start fresh?

If I were in your shoes I would try to clean cache, delete update and download it again. If this won't help you can try to get to McCarran via LVB station on The Strip. You can also try to fast travel there, but I don't if it is possible.

 

I personally didn't have problem in this place, but during my last playthrough something happened to my saves, so the game was freezing everytime I was close to Primm. I had no other choice, but to fast travel there. It was near the end though, so it wasn't big problem.

I've had the never-ending-loadscreen glitch a good 6 or 7 times on 360 (across ~150 hours of playtime). Simply turning the console off and on again worked for me. It didn't seem to happen consistently under any specific conditions (e.g. location, equipped items, stuff like that), so I just accepted that it was going to happen occasionally. Remember to save often and use a number of rolling saves.

- load an very old previews save and enter anywhere in the game. Load the last save and enter in Camp MC. If not, load the last save again and enter somewhere else and then fast travel to Camp MC. This should fix it.

 

My game started to have these bugs from 5 to 10 minutes and right now I'm reinstalling the game.

I was reading that a lot of people have problems because of the bugs. I must be very lucky then.

Crashes don't occur here too often. They happen here and there, like in all other games. There are some minor bugs, but they never did any serious damage. I did have loading problems and all that sh*t, but I fixed it once and they never happened again.

Thanks for the help guys. I went back to it maybe 30 minutes after I posted, still had the same problem. But noticed there were 2 people standing right in front of the camp. They were an NCR ranger I got to tag along with me and Boone and another NCR guy I radio called while getting ambushed by 5 raiders not to long ago. Guess they decided to take up camp right there. Anyway, got them to follow me again and it actually let me back into Camp. So problem all solved thank god, would of been a ball ache to clear my cache and stuff.

Thats on my ps3 and 360 and both systems are fine and the copy of games are good. Lots of others have this issue to. Its the game is defective. Bethesda needs to take responsibility and do a full out investigation into the game files and fix the issues. When fallout 4 comes out, im not getting it due to what happened with 3 and NV.

Damn you. All you doing on these forums is running in different topics and moaning. You was bitching about GTA IV, now you're bitching about Fallout. All Fallouts were buggy as hell and people still played them. I completed F3 two times (and I encountered one freeze) and F:NV three times (one without any patches) and I didn't have many problems. Of course there was some freezing or lagging, but nothing special. I don't want to work as a devil's advocate here, but it's very hard to find all glitches and bugs in game like this.

 

Fallout 4 won't be different, so you may as well start finding other games to play.
