I would suggest building the characters a little more. if you would like me to help with the writing aspect and some acting id love to. heres the first little movie ive made in the editor. its way shorter than i wanted because of the lack of music editing ability in the gta editor. check it out, tell me what you think and let me know if you want my help on writing or acting. Coldkilla Posted May 22, 2009 Author Share Posted May 22, 2009 (edited) I EXTREMLY apologize for this LONG delay. I have NOT been screwing around but this film had to be planned to the inch. I had to write the plot, setting, chase scenes, voice acting sequences, the writing/dialogs, the action sequences, the camera tricks, the character models, the mods required, the time & place & weather of each scene so it flowed perfectly. The story is intricately woven together in which many clues are spread out the film and they all fit together perfectly in the end. The action sequences, camera angles, how many voice actors, actors, visual and audio effects will be needed for each scene. The entire writin screenplay (in 12 point font) is 5 pages long, and probably will be a lot long than 10 minutes - and will have to be released in episodes. It is possible however, that we COULD get it in 10 - but I like to film my movies in the way I envisioned them first - get peoples opinions in private on how we can cut them down without losing quality - and then make the call on whether or not they could be trimmed down under 10 minutes. I personally hate episodic videos in that the viewership cliffs after the first one. After working on this screenplay, I determined by the end of this - I will need at least 4 male professional voice actors and 1 women voice actor. I will also need a audio editor to simulate a police dispatcher, a phone conversation, a television anchor, a distant outdoor conversation, and a distant indoor conversation. There will also be 2 scenes which require 10 actors minimum. The rest can do with anywhere between 3-4. The film will take months to complete as well, but will be absolutely epic and worth every second, if you thought the Majestic was good - You haven't seen ANYTHING yet. I've also hooked up with Machinima - so it will be hosted there. Once the film gets started - I will probably be filming daily for at least 2 hours - there wont be any long breaks like what just happened here on the forum. I need a permanent Ventrilo server too. But I'll still need a Ventrilo server. I'm in the process of discussing this with someone right now but its not certain yet. I'll keep yall updated. KrispyKreme, you PM'd me right about a position? I've got a large inbox and searched your name but came up empty. edit: I decided in order to speed the process up and in order to begin filming as soon as possible: I formatted my PC and am in the process of installing GTA4 once more. I only have a few things to film today but the more I have the merrier. Today I need to film: A swat team (4) approaching a bank. (3) Cops viewing the swat team (4) approaching the bank. The swat team (4) get shot by (2) men inside the bank. Possibilities: Reshoot the shootout outside the bank as the crooks make a break for it. Shoot a chase scene between a few cop cars and a off-road truck. Chances of shooting this is unknown at the moment as I don't have the route planned. Shooting a bar scene. The ideal amount of actors is 8. The required amount of actors is 3. The age of the actors really should be above 18 as the owners of the previous vent channel almost banned us due to 2 actors who harassed them voraciously. Time is not an issue as I do not sleep I don't have any mods or vent (I prefer Skype...I know, burn the heretic etc.) at the moment, but that could be arranged. Not only for the moderators sake (as I'm sure they'd prefer this actors request thread not be here), but for the films. 99% of the actors are under the age of 15 and have the maturity of a potato, even though I specifically stated that they be over 18 to begin with. If they are over 18, they live in some remote area 5000 miles from the USA and live 30 miles from the nearest town with satellite internet and end up coming into my Ventrilo server with over 40 seconds of lag between conversations... The film will be impossible to shoot without competent individuals. The last 3 days I have spent over 6 hours going into ALL the Freemode, Deathmatch, and Mafia servers and all I get from people there are insults, being ridiculed, or just flat out "No your a fagot" from the people there. I do have a life and am almost getting pushed beyond the pale when it comes to my patience hoping to get other actors.. The people that do come in to help, have the patience of a 2 year old and can't wait 10 minutes for me to try and find an additional required actor to help in the scene. Most 15 year olds don't audition to be in actual films. Video games like GTA love to attract the young and immature.
