Alright, here are my two ideas that no one ever did as people didn't liked it so therefore you're probably aren't gonna like it, but f*ck it it's my tradition to post 'em:

1. Bribe cops. But like in Godfather. Sure sure, basicly there's a mod from lil mcnessy that adds bribing cops, but I mean an such style like in Godfather. So lets say theres you can always call to crooked cop, and not only you lose your wanted level if you have any, but also the cops are ignoring you for an described amount of time. They even help you if there's criminal near (not a new feature, basicly it would happen because cops always shoot criminals) but if you'll pass their limits, kill thousands of people n' all, your contract is broken and the bribe effect is stopped. Not really an good idea because of the fact that game doesn't clear wanted level really fast, but still, an cool feature.

2. A one that I was asking for over 2 years- car immunities. Basicly you could call a mechanic when in car, then choose an option that you have to pay for and it would give your car some immunity, for example Bullet proof wheels would cost 2500$, explosion proof car metal-material 15k$, etc etc. So when you call him (by choosing him using next/last mission key) you choose what immunity you want mounted in your car, basicly making realistic effects like going to garage would be boring and non-practic, so let's say your screen fades, and mechanic get outs of your car. Tada! Your can is now invisible to the thing you choosed.

I think he means that he wants only the ability to plant moar bombs, meaning the fact that after planting one he would be able to plant another one anywhere, when the timer would still be turned on for the first bomb, if you get me.

i can make a one crooked cop to have a BLIP once wanted and you can talk to him to pay the bribe, but the enforcer already has that feature.

 

2. thats a pretty sweet idea, the enforcer can do that while you horn him to come closer, problem is; what limitation could balance such an overpowered feature? i mean with bullet proofed car you are practically unstoppable (unless car is flipped/drowned). the only limitation i can think of is 1 proof per car (wheels proof, bullet proof, collision damage proof)

Nononononono you got me wrong brother biggrin.gif Btw totally forgot about your enforcer option...so like this: You go to enforcement guy and you choose option named like "Long lasting blind eye" (ROTFL no just joking, you'll think of better name I believe I don't have idea for any normal name) and you choose for how much time you don't want cops be bothering you. The more time, the more cash you gotta pay. For example one day ( in game) 10k, 2 days: 25k etc etc. No intimidating and all, I know it's impossible.

2. Cool you like it... yeah that's true... Maybe make the immunities driver PL style? Bullet proof wheels, bullet proof glass and (optional) more collision damage resist.

 

About the BP glass, dunno if it's possible to make it actually really BP...but in SJAAK's trainer the maker of it made an option "don't get any damage when shot when in car" you could ask him about it if you're interesed.

hmm dunno, but it would be essential if one goes off and there is another one close enough, the other one also detonates immeadietly.

so you can make a BIG street party;)

 

the best thing i guess would be to have some kind of trigger, to trigger the bombs go off at wish^^

 

 

 

an other thing, and not that important: when the bomb explodes, there are a lot of other explosions rising up from it.

I think this looks cool, but it`s somehow irritating that that you also hear those explosions.

I mean it LOOKS like 1 big explosion, that rises up like a shroom, but you expect to only hear one big boooom and not boom boom boom boom, you know? tounge.gif

 

But this really ain`t that important, in fact i just tried hard to find anything in ur mod that's not perfect;)

ok, i tried the backup guys and collected the bugs. i hope they well get looked into.

 

 

BUG LIST:

 

1) this is the funnies bug ever - the bodyguards u recruit over the phone will sprint after u if u run away BUT every Fuking time u run, they will run faster than u, hit you and fall to the ground. EVERY FUKING TIME! funny stuff. they will chase u but wouldnt know when to stop running, hit you and fall. this is so funny yet so stupid during running to a firefights and instead of helping me - they fall on their faces and get shot. suicidal.gifbiggrin.gif

 

2) now they engage for longer ranges, which is great, but completely inconsistent. sometimes they will fire at someone 80 units away. other times they wont fire at someone across the street. weird. can this be improved , hippie?

 

3) this is the most bugging bug, if u ask me. once the backup guy DO decide to open fire he just doesnt do anything else but fire. he can get shot at from 10 directions and he still wouldnt move an inch. i've seen trees move more under fire. maybe , hippie, u told the AI to shoot without stopping and maybe that's why the backup guy ingnore every other AI function he might have. once he starts firing he will stop in the middle of the road and just fure until he dies.

 

 

4) hippie, did u concider making the AI not folow u all the time?? is it even possible to make the AI follow but once he notices enemy characters he will act like the green reenforcement peds or the cops? meaning that he will leave your side and actually manouver around, grab cover, advance and fire all on his own?

if u ask me the best way that this could go is if there was a button - press once: all backup guys leave your side, attack on their own and do their thing. press again: all backup guys come back to follow you.

 

generally the AI that DOESNT follow u (cops and green enforcement peds) behave a LOT better since they act on their own. firefights that evolve when they join are a lot cooler.

 

5) i dont get this - is the enforcer that has a chance of 1-500 to show up, is he against me or with me?! if he is with me- i think he should get a blip.

 

6) is there a good reason why i cant make phone calls when im crouching?? im under fire and i want to call for help but in order to do that i have to get up (then get shot) , make a call, and crouch again. its a small thing but i still thought i will bring it up.

 

7) this isnt a bug but a kudos - hippie, did u make it so when i aim at the back up peds they duck? cuz is freaking awesome idea smile.gif

of course they are engaging and in that case, as i said, they just shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot.... forever or until they or their target dies.

 

8) another weird and un-important anomaly - if i recruit more than 1 back up guy at a time - all the backup peds that show up are of the same character model but different variations of it. it looks like i can only call twins to help me tounge2.gif

 

9) this is not really a bug but more of a design suggestion - the backups usually stand about 2 meters behind the player. in cases that the player is taking cover but the backups dont fire at the enemies the back up guys tend to stand right behind the player at a distance that BLOACKS the crosshair- the backups stand exactly between the camera and the player. if they stood about 4 meters behind the player (instead of about 2) than the camera could be located between them and the player and the backups wouldnt block the view. just a suggestion.

 

but over all, i love the addition of payin 5000$ for a backup gu0y on the phone. really helpful inside and outside your mod.

Now for the new version (lost the previous one); I am going to continue testing but here are the first remarks: The back up is a very good idea + subtracting money every time you call them. I agree with topeira that they are too fast and they are always hitting you and falling when they are running (I don't know if that can be fixed). I had some crashes already but not everytime. Also the cops don't shoot your backup people when the later are shooting at others (e.g. pedestrians). Would you fix that?

Secondly; Please think of adding another key (or that could be done with the cancel mission key) in order to release the backup people who are following you.

Most important; I liked the way it was before; If you aimed at a contact he started shooting at you (the friends or police were shooting at him etc) and also backup for the contact was coming. If you aimed at a friend you had the 6 stars and the Wanted survival mission started. But in the last version even when you were aiming at the contact you were getting the 6 stars and the relevant mission. I thing that the contacts are kind of criminals or outlaws while friends are with police. So please make again the contacts returning the fire and their backup to appear, without the wanted level rising (this should happen only when you aim at a friend). That way you can cause more shooting among contacts, backups, friends & cops.

Last thing; What is fade in/outs meaning in the gameplay? Haven't understand that. mercie_blink.gif

i think that if u aim at a contact man for about 2 seconds than what u said will happen - they will attack. it was made like it is right now so it doesn t happen when u WANT their help in a fight but accidently look at them and they attack u without u wanting it.

 

and i think that if FADE is ON than the game will fade to black when the enemies appear. i leave it OFF

one more thing for the bombs: could we have an ini setting for the wanted stars u get for bombing? maybe also a variance setting, so it simulates the chances of getting caught on the act or not....

i didnt tried the 1.38 but yesterday with 1.36, i noticed that guards still tried to shoot trough walls.

 

I tried to make bank robbery with a badmen squad, we all went inside the bank, then i noticed that guards where trying to shoot at cop's helis.... from the inside of the bank.

 

And im frustrated.... cant find the mugger.... dont even know what it means... ill take a look on goodle =)

 

(The idea of calling backup is really AWSOME ! (but we cant call for backup if wanted... sadly)

tried the latest 1.392 for a few minutes before i had to leave to give some TLC to my girlfriend, but i really like how u can aim at a backup guy and select him like that. nice idea and very well done.

 

it's a shame that if u dismiss him during a fire fight than he will run away and not stay and fight and do the things i always thought that they should do (maneuver on their own and advance).

what could have been cool is if u can dismiss them, they would stay and fight but regardless of the player and STILL have a blip on them . different color though) and u can still aim at them and rehire them for no cost.

this can be done so in a fire fight u can tell a guard to go do his thing and he will go, advance on the enemy, get away from you and be a lot more helpful since he will create his own angles and not just shoot from where YOU are. and once the firefight is over u can call him back and he will follow u again.

 

it's just a lil shame that sometimes i select a backup guy and then i want to heal or dismiss him but i just change mission types (if im not in a VIP mission. if im on another mod or a story mission or just rampage stuff).

 

here's an idea - if u want to change missions or take a mission u first have to bring up your PHONE. when the phone is out and the player is looking at it - only THEN u can press < and > and M to change stuff regarding the mission. if the phone is NOT out than u can use < and > and M to give backups commands. maybe u can call them or heal them without the current clumsiness or maybe u can give them other commands like "spread and attack" and "come back to me" stuff.

 

also sometimes i get these moments where i want to select a misson type and clicking the < or > or M doesnt do anything. its like the mod stops responding. it's not THAT common but it happens.
