Did anyone else hate Elizabeta Torres?

I don't know why. I just hated her character from the very first mission she was featured in. Ray Boccino was a jerk and so was Vlad, but I still liked them. There was something about Elizabeta that I just cannot stand.

I like Elizabeta... I feel like a lot of the hate is on her because she's a female character that isn't "hot." Now I will admit a similar male character... a puerto rican gangster based off of someone like Big Pun, I might have liked better. I kinda feel like that was part of the Criminal world of New York that was missing from IV... the hardcore Boricua/Dominican gangster from Bronx/Uptown as a character, but I guess we might be getting that with Luis in DLC2. In the end tho have no issue with Elizabeta... she was a crazy psycho killer which was cool, plus she kinda reminds me of a friend of mine.

Lol, Manny was an okay guy. It was a sudden surprise when she shot him in that cutscene. I didn't really like Elizabeta either though.

I liked her. Made me feel that Liberty City/Bronx vibe. I'm Puerto Rican myself so to see her in the game and in the Bronx made me feel like I was in the Bronx.

But when she killed Manny I would of gone into the game and bowed down to her, Manny was real annoying

I didn't really connect with any characters in GTA IV, apart from maybe Packie and his Irish boys. The whole "from the hood" vibe in Bohan, fueled by characters such as Manny and Elizabeta just didn't do it for me, and I was glad to move on from her and her work. Her accent and voice really grated on me like sandpaper too, I dreaded phone calls and cut-scenes.

 

Saying that, I quite like Bohan as an area because it's somewhere I find really rough and sleazy. I felt that what Manny said was true; gangs and drugs were indeed tearing the area apart and sometimes it's nice to escape the glamour of Algonquin to rough it in Bohan.

I enjoyed her presence, she was a half-way decent character, just like everybody else in GTA IV. I miss the days of character who secretly like to sleep with transsexuals or cross-dress; that's why I like Chinatown Wars. Returned to the original GTA style of humour and characters.

I think she was a great character, she respected Niko and kept loyal to him and her other assosciates. She gave both Niko & Johnny good work, she never tried to rat out Niko or attempted to rip him off in any way. She introduced Niko to the big time, so to speak, such as Packie McCreary & Playboy X.

That's true. She kept a level head and made a name for herself in such a harsh, upsetting business. While the execution of Manny was perhaps clumsy, she dealt with the matter swiftly and even made a cheap buck of it by taking them to the back-street doctor.

No I actually liked Elizabeta Torres. She was cold, crazy, mean and homicidal, but that's what I liked about her, she brought a lot of fire to the storyline. In fact, I wished I had seen more of her and her Spanish Lords story arc.

 

Her murder of Manny was one of my biggest shock moments while playing the story, I loved it !

I liked Elizabeta. Her house party was the place to be. Anybody who was anybody was at that party. She had connections all over the city and knew how to grow her list of associates. She lived in the grit and grime and could swing just as hard as the rest.

 

She got some hard prison time so she had to be in the big time.

LC is a melting pot but once you get there and stay you become a Libertonian, there are all kinds of different Libertonians too and to see the "Bohan Hispanic" represented made me smile. She was a good character that added more grit and backbone to an already amazing story. I don't see much reason to hate her!
