I have been playing GTA 4 all day at night and I am 99.9% sure there is no moon. I have been on skyscrapers, on the ground and in helicopters and I couldn't see the moon anywhere. Moon is actually brighter but as someone stated above, it just dissapears so its dissapearing now this is why its barely visible And sorry for the quality, if i want to record something i have to play with my tv tuner which i bought for my pc about 4 years ago ant it only plays 50hz 640*480 i wish i could record that stuff in hd Niko in front of the moon --------------------------------------------------------------- I`m playing on xbox360 version and there is a moon. I recorded a video 24hrs in star junction. I got the impression that was the console version being run through a TV tuner. Just to clarify I want to see a screenshot from the PC version NOT the console version. CharmingCharlie Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 Well it is fairly easy thing to do, I mean I have been playing the game solidly for 4 months several hours a day and until last night it didn't even enter my head there was no moon . At the end of the day it is a "minor" detail game play wise but the sky does look a wee bit empty now we know that someone has nicked the moon. Hopefully like the ticker tapes and clock tower it will be rectified in the next patch. However I am not going to let a little matter like the moon going AWOL ruin my enjoyment of the game. I didn't notice it either until this thread. I didn't notice the scrolling marquees either. Doesn't mean it doesn't suck 'cause it does. Just can't believe all the things that we're left out from console to pc, yet rectified in patches...Guess that's why we paid $10 less at launch? Forgetta bout it. It is a shame Rockstar dropped the R* constellation though that was a cool little easter egg of the previous GTA's and I was sad to see it isn't there in GTA 4 but times they do a move on. We're looking for moon from PC, dude. I wonder how many things still remain to fix in that bloody game... Dont get me wrong, I love the game and enjoy it, but still something's wrong with that Toronto team, in the first place was ticker tapes and the clock tower, then missing objects in the 2nd patch, now there's no moon and that car drivers who spawn only in the near distance.. It's heresy I tell ya. I dunno next you will be telling me the universe doesn't orbit the earth I think we should all be a lil bit embarrassed here, I have been paying so much attention to GTA 4, I pride myself on spotting all the little details and marvelling at the little touches. As someone said it's not a big gameplay factor but it should be a part of their "checklist". "Peds; check, cars; check" There are many things that are missing that shouldn't be hard to shove in the patch, so they probably will add the things that are "exclusively" in the console version. Anyways, I did realize that the "moons" began to slowly decrease in size, from GTA III to San Andreas and now its completely gone it's all part of rockstar's evil plan to destroy the moon. Well i do have an excuse : i don't really like to play in the night always going to my safehouse and advance time so there can be day. Kinda strange actually...SA had such a big moon that i always thought it will crash-land in front of me. I think R* removed the big moon because they wanted the game to be real and a moon that big can only be real if you're standing next to it. Seriously, I want my moon. But its just another obscurity of GTA. Like why are there schools yet no children? Ah, they sent the children to the moon then blew up the moon.
