I want to know. 16 year olds usually get payed between £4-5 per hour, McDonalds, which is the bottom of the food chain pay £4.20 per hour. I prefer to work with my dad, R$5 per hour, R$10 per extra/weekend hour. I can get as much as R$900 (roughly $400) a month, wich is more than enough for me. No one here will be able to tell you how much money you will earn, because we dont know how many hours you will work each week and how much exactly you'll be earning per hour. Just get a job, and when you get the interview, you'll be told how much you'll be on a year. From then you can work out how much you will earn each week, but keep in mind most business's pay monthly. Yes, I sacrifice a lot of time that I could spend gaming, surfing the web and going out with my friends working, so I can get some days off later and go to better places, have better stuff, etc. I don't know how much that would be, probably the same as McDonalds. Pico Posted April 12, 2009 Share Posted April 12, 2009 If you're 16 and don't know the average starting wage for the job you got, and can't figure out how to do the simple math to figure out how much the X amount you get paid times the Y amount of hours you work, minus Z taxes, then I don't know how you can get a job doing anything other than bagging groceries or pushing carts. Dope. Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 Well, it depends really on what kind of job you want. I'd suggest something simple such as working at a fast food restaurant. I know it sounds boring, and stupid. But trust me it's a damned easy way to make money. You barely have to do anything, and you get payed an alright amount (for a teenager, that is.)
