SIKKS66
They couldve easily added that other stuff and more if they hadnt been dicking around with the useless internet cafes, police database and call system. You're complaining about those features? I personally loved them! The Police Database added so much depth to the GTA IV world it's unbelievable and the internet is just another humourous medium a la the radio. I think GTA IV added some really good features that will be the staple for games to come. How long did that stuff stay entertaining for? It was more like "Oh cool, a police database" *after searching a couple names* "Yeah im over it now, lets get back to the killing." Same with the internet, the TV and all that other crap. The radio worked because you could listen to it while committing mass murder. I liked the Most Wanted missions. Was like being a hitman, kinda. TEoS
Doesn't anyone get tired of World War II? Says the man with Saving Private Ryan in his sig. I recant my earlier statement about Fallout 3. It's pretty sweet when you get a bit further on. The storyline is meh but just being a psycho drifter across the wastelands is sweet.

Guybrush Threepwood
Bioshock too. Yeah, I really couldn't get into that game either. Also, I hated Doom3, yeah it looked cool and all, and at first you get really creeped out by sh*t spawning out of nowhere and sneaking up on you. But eventually it wears off, and you're left with a game that doesn't really do anything other than trying to scare the bejesus out of you. Well guess what? If I wanted to be scared, I'd go condomless on the next 15 sluts I date and wait for one of them to call me and tell me she's pregnant.

Lack of good story, not a lot of weapons, crappy sound, city felt dead, GTA 2 just didn't meet expectations. Anyway GTA 3 fixed all of that Just for interest's sake did you play them when they came out, or did you play them after playing a 3D GTA? I mean you have to remember GTA 1 is 12 years old, and GTA II is 10 years old. Of course they're not as advanced as say GTA III. GTA 1 didn't even have a story, but for its time it was great fun to play, and GTA II was even better. Obviously they look old, and tacky by today's standards, but any real GTA fan would appreciate them for how fun they were. Heihachi_73
Edit: Holy crap, that was massive! Don't read if you're bored easily! At least people are truthful here. Here's a very long list (because I'm half asleep right now) of games I hate playing, some which I can't even stand seeing other people play. The first one is obvious and is mentioned by most people here. World of Warcraft, in 2005 I used to have mates living with me, they are still here but all they do now is play WoW, smoke weed and download space themed TV episodes and sleep the rest of the time while they're at home. You ask one of them to help you with something and all you get is "I'll be there in a few minutes, let me finish this raid/run/walkthrough" even they've already maxed out the levels on more than one character. By that time, they have completely forgotten to take out their rubbish or whatever else and you've moved everything around in 3 times the amount of time it would have taken with two other people helping. However, I have never been interested in fantasy type RPGs where you have stupid magic powers and numbers fly from everyone's heads. To be honest, I still have not got interested in San Andreas. Maybe if they remade San Andreas for Vice City (like the person who managed to shoehorn the map in there) and removed the Sims-like body structure stats, sex appeal and associated crap I might have gotten interested; I have had the game for years on the PS2 and PC (the PS2 version being crippled for AU yet more expensive than the PC version) and just have not gotten interested one bit, further than driving around the map outrunning the cops with 4 stars. I find that CJ also seems to be weaker than Tommy or Claude, I seem to get killed much more frequently and easily by the law in this game than earlier; second in weakness to GTA1 I think, where one hit from anything from a pistol to a slow-moving Taxi was an instant kill. I don't mind the map or CJ's gangsta theme, it's just the way the game was designed which I dislike, it's like it almost mimics the GTA series rather than actually being one of them. I mean, they didn't even clean up the code on the PC version to fix the many bugs in the game (version 2 still has them). The other thing that annoys me now is the replacement of the numerical health display with a bar graph, and the even kept that through the Stories games too! Next on my list, first person shooters. I was never interested in FPS games much, games like Quake and Counter-Strike being the first ones that come to mind. I actually had a lot of fun when I was much younger (around 11 or 12, still in primary school) playing Doom on another mate's awesome 486 which had Windows 3.1 (not the workgroups one, it just had the wording MICROSOFT WINDOWS on it), a Sound Blaster 16 and a 'Quad Speed' Creative CD drive which I can distinctly remember! I wouldn't waste my time playing those sports games either. Cricket, football (any code besides...), Madden NFL which I give a different category (what the , we don't play or even follow American football here!), tennis. I must admit though, International Cricket on the NES was really funny though, just to hear the poorly digitised speech of the umpire, who gave you out just about every time though! Same with their Aussie Rules Footy, crappy game but hearing a scratchy 'Out of bounds...on the full' was just hilarious! Bowling games aren't too bad though, at least it's possible to get a 300 there instead of 114 at the local AMF (Always Means ... as you get nothing but splits unless you're a pro with massive curve shots). 2D fighting games. I have no idea why so many people are obsessed with Street Fighter! I mean, two people throwing magical crap at one another and jump-kicking every 2 seconds, come on! They made it even worse by changing the characters into comic book style cartoons, and the sound effects on the SNES were nothing short of terrible (The announcer sounded more distorted than an old tape, Ryu sounded like he was saying 'ha-whoa-sh!t' and the 'ugh, ugh' KO sound was just stupid, as every single male character did it, even Vega with his high pitched voice on everything else). Then, SNK comes along with its No-Go machines as I used to call them, and copies the entire thing with Fatal Fury and later the KOF series on 1990-era Megadrive style hardware right up to 2003! Those Neo-Geo games had the worst voice actors and largest amount of Engrish in the history of video games I reckon. The only 2D fighter I had some respect for was Mortal Kombat since it actually looked real (since it actually had real people acting), specifically MK Trilogy on the N64. Then I traded it in for a PlayStation in 1998 and tried out Tekken 2 for the first time (I lie, I had played it about half a dozen times at the bowling alley along with Tekken 1 but was never that good at the time), as Mortal Kombat's down side was its AI, which used to sh!t me to tears with its 2 frame uppercut and jump kick counters they did all the time, and SF2 style fireball crap, and of course Shao Kahn who would constantly charge forward at you taking out 1/3 of your health each time it connected. Tekken 4 didn't have jack to offer (lowest amount of characters since Tekken 1) and didn't have Jack to offer either so it definitely failed in that department, as Gun Jack was one of my main characters next to King and Heihachi. Heihachi received an adult sized nappy (and nothing else) and forgot how to do his Hammer/Power Punch combo which he copied after watching Paul fight Kuma more than 20 game-years ago, while Jin received a completely different fighting style making everything you about him knew before null and void, and for some unknown reason, brought the gayest fighting character in history back to life under the name Violet, or Lee Chaolan (just when you thought his Tekken 2 unicorn vest was crappy enough). Ogre had some of his moves just before Tekken 3, thus Lee should have been dead since Ogre absorbed his soul just like Jun! The only good thing Tekken 4 did was give us a decent Tekken Force game, boobage (Christie, unfortunately for me, she turned out to be just a clone of Eddy who I hated using just as much as Xiaoyu), the return of Marshall Law, Kazuya and the only decent Hwoarang outfit to date (the white taekwondo one where his shirt is actually closed and isn't half way up his back like the number on a greyhound; why the hell did they bring the old outfits back in Tekken 5?). Even though he finally lost the goggles in his 2P outfit, the army stuff and short hair really sucks, but then again, so does his 2P outfit in every other game he's in (goggles, a tight leather vest (read Lee above) and wild west shoe spikes? come on - PAUL has what a true biker costume is). I will also admit, I do not really like Tekken 5 either, even with its immense amount of characters. The boss Jinpachi has the above Shao Kahn syndrome, telekinetic powers that stops you anywhere on the screen including in mid-air, and stupid Yoga Fire (I'll let True Ogre slide for the time being, it doesn't travel at an impossible rate and in a 2 hit 60% damage juggle sometimes). The Tekken series got progressively better since Tekken 1 and topped the scales at Tekken Tag Tournament, then went downhill rapidly like the elevator in Speed 1 with the release of Tekken Advance, 4, 5 and Dark Resurrection. I am yet to play Tekken 6 but it's probably the same as 5 with a few small tweaks and a stupid 'bonus stage' robot called Nancy of all things. Old games that I hated putting on back in the early 90s: Alex Kidd (the built-in game on the Master System) - what a crappy game, touch something and you die instantly! Action Fighter, another crappy Sega game (I used to call it the game that fights action!). Bank Panic, also on the Master System (what a good track record!). After round 14 it was impossible to get any further (last year I looked at its ROM code and found out it only gave you three frames to kill the bad guys, no wonder!). Not only that, the instruction manual they gave you was for the original arcade version (the SMS version was very different in terms of gameplay). Excitebike, what a waste of a game. Even if you could save tracks it was still a crappy boring game. That old top down Atari 2600 racing game where you had to dodge cars coming the other way, they used to always pick the same road as you every time. Duck Hunt. It said FLY AWAY too many times once and I remember ripping the game straight out, power still on and 'flying it away' to the wall on the other side of the room! Operation Wolf on the SMS before I was finally bought the Sega gun, then it became somewhat playable (a lot better than the above gun game) - without the gun, you had to use the d-pad to move a crosshair around the screen, which was just as annoying as playing... Missile Command on the Atari 2600. I don't think I actually played it twice, as the controls really sucked in my opinion and it was one of the most monotonous games out there! Pac-Man (NES version, never played it in the arcade and was fortunate not to have it on the Atari), I could never play it then and probably not now either, the ghosts used to always get me twice or even more before I even finished the first stage. Super Mario 2, back in those days before the internet, I had no idea what to do once I hit that level in world 4 (which was, ride the egg instead of killing the guy) so I used to just fall off the edge until game over; the game didn't even give you any points! Track and Field was another pointless game (I had the Barcelona version on the NES, which didn't even have the Konami logo on the title screen). Space Invaders (Atari 2600), I hated that game, especially since it went Game Over when the last invader hit the ground even though you had 2 lives left. livejoker
Dayyum. Heihachi_73. You need friends! That was quite a long story. Halo: Now they have their own anime series. Talking about anime, I hate the Naruto series. What's up with japanese kids show? Anyway, first time I played it; I didn't like it. First person, okay. Guns, good (seeing we were in the future or another planet, or both). Story? It was like watching Hannah Montana's new movie. COD: Medal Of Honor was the COD of today. I remember owning Medal Of Honor before any other shooting games. It was the best game out there back in the day. COD is so over-rated. It's a good game, don't get me wrong. It's just hard for players who want to get in the game and just have fun. People play everyday. They talk smack on the mic. They have those crazy perks. There's always 5-10 of my friends list playing COD 4 or WaW. It's just too hard to level up with addicts. Final Fantasy: I honestly never played the game, so I shouldn't bother with this one. Sorry. World Of Warcraft: My 23 year old brother plays. He made me try it out. He was so happy that I was playing it. I knew where the quests were and told me it was a valuable trait to know where to go. He even bought me a month of that and all that nerd stuff. My brother doesn't LOOk and ISN'T a nerd. His games are, though. He used to play America's Army and be the leader of a clan for Battlefield: 1942 back in the day. Damn WoW! Also, I don't like it because all god-view games are nerd-games for me. Not judging anyone here. Prototype-like games: Prototype, ever heard of that? It's the new "fun" game. A bum who has magical hands. Watch amateur porn or Slammans porn topic and you'll experience the same thing. I don't like un-realistic games. This includes Prototype, Saints Row (every one in the dayyum serie!), etc! Zombie games- World At War from COD seems the only good game that includes zombies. Left 4 Dead was good, but the movement was too quick and too "fast" gameplay. Resident Evil was the best, back in the day. I was so scared (I was pretty young), I didn't played for a month. My brother, in that while, proceeded to steal it from me and play it in his room. -_- I hope Left 4 Dead 2 will be more interest (i'm getting it anyway, so!). Rock Band- I've always been a fan of Guitar Hero. I've played Guitar Hero 3 for the first time at a student exchange. I got challenged at Through The Fire & Flames by a friend. We played on hard. He was winning seeing I hit no notes on time (can't fail in face-off), but I quickly picked it up. I still failed the song, but I fell inlove with GH. I can't see how anyone love RB. Sure, they deliver ALOT of content to download, but hitting the notes on time is so hard, harder than GH. I'm just a fan-boy (: . Movie games- Harry Potter. Ghostbusters, The Matrix. Anyway, the list goes on and on (:

Xeon
Gears of War 2. I bought it at a reduced price and played it twice online before leaving it to gather dust, since at the price I got it for it isn't worth trading in.
