SaintJimmy
I've just installed Vista onto my computer. I didn't format my XP files, they're still all in a folder called "windows.old". My internet has been capped to 12kbps, and I can't download my GPU driver, because it's around 80mb. Seeing as my old files are still there, is there some way to re-enable the driver without re-downloading it?
anus
XP drivers won't work on Vista I'm afraid. You're going to have to get Vista drivers.
fiercedeity9
You're gonna have to find a friend to download it for you or prepare to wait for a while.
Slamman
12kbps you say? Why complain when that's faster then dialup I contend with? Get on a hotspot and download it! I would. Also you can D/L long files while you sleep. I also do that. Anyway, if a driver is not able to be rolled back, and there's no display output to work with, reboot with hardware manipulation. There's often a method to get a different result by making hardware changes, letting all the power and RTC settings clear. (CMOS, same as RTC in most cases)
