After playing GTAIV for four months and not seeing Crysis since I beta tested until now.

I have to say "LOL" did you see that log? it looked like a texturless (ability to see courseness)

skin overlay .

I have got to say .... Crysis still looks like a lump of over hyped Sh*t.

GTAIV Pwns it it in many ways.

Sorry I hate the fact that I took the time to compare the two.

And yes I know gtaiv has issues for some people who can't understand that hardware just isn't ready for this game yet.

But the same goes for Crysis. That game was so buggy when it came out. Google it, you will see.

Crysis buggy Vs GTAIV Buggy

And yes I know that test is unfair.

Seeing how alot of old Crysis threads have probably been deleted by now.

I think you should try gta (space) iv buggy and see the result, just for fun

The thing with Crysis is that it (compared to gta4) is a well optimised game.

I can play crysis with everything on medium and somethings on high at playable frame rates and it looks fantastic on gta4 the framerate goes down faster than a thai hooker with a $1000 fee.

GTA 4 is a sh*ttly optimised game.

wouldn't a cheap hooker go down faster then an expensive one? monocle.gif

For long range sniping to work, wouldn't the game have to have all people and cars within a mile radius in memory at the same time? How does it work in crysis? Are the same people always in the same spot a mile away if you look away for a few seconds and look back again?

AFAIK they are rendered at all time.

Of course nobody is asking for a mile sniping radius in GTA IV. Something like a few hundred feet would be nice.

So is there a way to get GTA IV to render pedestrians up to say 500 metres instead of having them disappear in the PC version???

Would be awesome... There are so many skyscrapers to climb and so many possible people to kill with a sniper rifle.

Lets hope R* will fix that. At least bring it to the console level.

f*ck THAT... I don't give a crap about the consoles version... This is THE PC VERSION part of the forums and I'd love to be able to see pedestrians PAST MY FRICKING nose...

f*ck what? What are you talking about?

That game was so buggy when it came out. Google it, you will see.

WAS, GTAIV still IS.

What do you mean f*ck what??? You said lets hope they fix it and bring it to the consoles...

I couldn't give a flying f*ck about fixing the console versions of GTA IV... I want the PC version fixed.

It wasn't that hard to understand... moto_whistle.gif

You got it all wrong.Mkey only said let's hope they bring the driver spawn up to console level on the PC.Not that the devs should mess with the console versions.
