The-King
I'm wondering if there is any way to make my computer faster, it's an older Mac G3 running on Panther 10.3.9 with 384 MB of RAM. It used to be fast as any computer, and worked quite well, but recently I've noticed that it's incredibly slow compared to how it used to be. There are sites I used to visit daily which loaded incredibly fast that I can't even load anymore without crashing Safari, and it's honestly an incredible annoyance. I recently used ClamXav to scan the computer and it found six pieces of adware which I promptly got rid of, that sped it up for a couple of days, but it's now even slower than it was before and I can't really stand it anymore, even google searches are slow now. Is there any way to resolve this issue for free? |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

jelly
It's just cleverly placed to entice you to buy a license instead of downloading it for free. http://us.fixstars.com/support/downloads/ Anyway, it was halfway a joke, I'm guessing you want to stick with Mac OS in which case I really can't help you. kingvercetti
Silly question, but have you tried backing up your stuff and reinstalling OS X with the supplied disc(s) (assuming you still have them)? A reformat and reinstall might do it some good.
Edwards
If you can't do a reinstall (don't have the CD, for example), try creating a new user account to see if things are any better. sysnode.org

Never tried that, how would I go about creating backups for all of my stuff though, I've got a good 30GBs of music and photoshop files which would kill me if I lost them. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
