Then the online is poor, they should have had server browser.etc and anticheat. If modding didn't exist, people would still find a way to cheat. You can't just blame modders in general. HACKERS : people who modify the game engine to either gain an unfair advantage or grief other players. (these are just my own definitions I made up on the fly, its just to get the point across) It really isnt fair to lob real honest modders in with hackers, and by not making a distinction between the 2 we get the same circular argument going that has been going on since we started calling hackers modders. This way the person who created the server can set weather or not mods be allowed and what game mode they want. R* f*cked up, big time. TOTAL port and they should of thought of mods from the get go and how to block them. If R* wasn't bent over with their ass-cheeks spread for Microsoft we might have dedicated servers and better options but when $50,000,000 (which is half of what the game cost to create) wasn't given to R* for 360 DLC we might have a better game. I disagree, they have taken your money (and mine) so they (MS and R) should ensure that MP is an enjoyable experience, to date they have done next to nothing to ensure it is. Of course the blame lies for a great deal with the people who actually use the mods to crash games or harrass people, but these two companies could be blamed for making it so easy to do so. Peter Posted April 9, 2009 Share Posted April 9, 2009 Some modders might have enabled modifications for player-matches, however, most seem to respect GTAForum's and Rockstar's position on using modifications online. People start with spawning a vehicle, then another one and another one. And why not some weapons too? Cheating is addictive, it's very addictive, and some people get so good at it you never know whether they're cheating or not. Dedicated servers, scripting and settings per server however would be an awesome addition, I'm sure that would boost Grand Theft Auto IV's multiplayer quite a bit. Especially with GTA's broad range of features I'm positive a lot could be achieved with scripted gamemodes, possibly ones that could go on forever (a bit like Multi Theft Auto and San Andreas: Multiplayer).
