Graven
I have "Quality" in MipMap Detail (4850), You can use "High Quality." Vertical refresh "OFF, unless application specifies."

Graven
Oh, sorry. I have left that as it was by default "standard". Did not even know what it´s about. ATI Catalyst™ A.I. intelligently analyzes and optimizes your system’s performance for even faster system performance. As of the 6.7 Catalysts, Crossfire users should set Catalyst A.I. to Advanced to force Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR) mode in all Direct3D games for optimal performance. Once again, Catalyst A.I. should only be disabled for troubleshooting purposes, such as if you notice image corruption in particular games. Vicetopia
Disabling Catalyst AI will disable CrossFire... Or, at least the "preferred rendering type" for CrossFire. A.I. Disabled = Multi-GPU rendering disabled (it doesn't disable the second GPU per se, it just doesn't use it for rendering)A.I. Standard = Profile specific rendering method (AFR, Checkerboard, etc.) A.I. Advanced = Forced Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR) For more info, just punch it into the Googs and you'll find plenty of debate about it. Might have been changed in newer drivers, though. And to preemptively answer the forthcoming question: Yes, the 4870X2 uses CrossFire. Edited April 9, 2009 by Vicetopia
craig3000
I, i don't know the settings for Ati Catalyst for Ati HD4870X2: - Catalyst A.I. - MipMap Detail level - Wait for vertical refresh Help me please. Thanks. -Catalyst AI should always be set at standard at max it can mess things up and if you turn it off some games actually require it -Mipmap detail should always be at the highest - vertical refresh should be referred to application settings

ancalimonungol
Enabling Catalyst AI when playing Grand Theft Auto 4 makes stutters unbearable on my system. (2gb ram, 4850 1gb and Core2duo 6420 2.1ghz overclocked to 3.2ghz)
