polygon2000
Apparently a friend of a friend was told that known GTA employees where seen taking photos of buildings around Canary Wharf, docklands and the area around near Southwark (South London). So I'm thinking Could this be the new GTA or maybe another title.
Mafioso86
Well... friends of a friends aren't exactly the most reliable sources... still very interesting as apparently they did the same thing in LA and NY when they were developing SA and IV. General Goose
As a Londoner, I would love this to be true. While it wouldn't bet on GTA London coming out very soon, it is pretty likely.
El Zilcho
I've got a feeling GTA London may well be the next handheld addition, possibly the second game on the DS. But I'm not sure, what you said is interesting but it may well not be true. U R B A N I T A S
Omnia sunt Communia
The first problem I can see is that you're trusting information you got from "a friend of a friend that knows GTA employees." We have those sort of people come around here often, and more often than not, they do nothing but spout rubbish that isn't true. Sorry if I take your post with a little salt then. The other problem is that Rockstar doesn't only make Grand Theft Auto games. Their responsible for a whole host of different gaming titles, so the person might not even be taking photos for Rockstar North. Though judging by location they were probably working for Rockstar London. Though with all that said, I love London and I would love to see it play a major role in GTA NeXt. I think the variety in both setting and people would make for a pretty interesting game. One that could rival GTA IV.
Ultraussie
Ok, Ive seen Rockstar employee's photographing your anus! Seriously, I dont belive it, why would we belive your crazy freind's even crazier freinds! And if it was set in London, It'd be weird. RIght hand drive for starters. Cops dont have guns. Its a real life city, etc...

Yes, because I'm sure you obey the traffic laws when you're playing GTA. And our cops do carry weapons, just not as often as American officers. We're not quite as gun-ho as our cousin's across the pond. Though that doesn't mean we can't kick your ass if you try and commit a crime in our country! You'd have to answer to SO19 if you decided to cause havoc in the streets of London: If you really feel like being an nuisance: You thought the FIB were tough? Try taking on the SAS! Omnia sunt Communia
The SAS counterpart are the SWAT or the SEAL right? not Fbi You're kidding, right? Do you even know who the SAS are? They are a special forces unit, probably one of the best special forces unit in the world. While American SWAT teams respond to gang shoot-outs and raiding crack dens, the SAS are in-charge of destroying targets behind enemy lines and highly dangerous terrorist attacks. Go read up on the Iranian Embassy Siege, if you want to see what the SAS are capable of in an urban environment.
nerner
The SAS are the best urban warfare fighters in the world, it would be interesting to see them taking on your player in a bloody gang shootout. Still not convinced that GTA will come to London though, as friends of friends are not the most trustworthy of sources. Ive seen Rockstar employee's photographing your anus! Sea Air LAnd the SWAT are for URBAN warfare too.. They only come in dozen when doing missions but they do smack ass out. FBI! This dudes are different. They are more on Investigatory and they have another team to do the Attack. sometimes with assistance with the SWAT you can take them to the Moon if you want. LOLS!! nerner
The FBI have nothing in common with the SAS, at all. They are the most carefully trained force in the world, them and the SEALS are the reasons that we have won so many wars.
Omnia sunt Communia
I dare say that the SAS are better than the U.S. Navy SEALs, but I don't want to get into a political arguement, so I'm going to leave it at that. When I was comparing the SAS to FBI I was comparing them too the FIB. GTA IV's fictional berau that fights you when you reach a certain Wanted Level. The SAS and FBI can't be more far apart. reform
Wouldn't the FBI counterpart be MI5/6? Anyway I'd prefer not having cops start shooting right away as it offers a little more freedom to piss about before getting into something more serious. Also I don't believe the friend of his friend, or perhaps only his friend, or maybe just him.

No. Because London's answer too America's SWAT Team is SO19. I already pointed that out. The SAS would replace the FIB because they are a specialist unit that deals with counter-terrorism, just like the FIB and NOOSE in GTA IV.
