Does anyone else play the game as a girl?

When I first got GTA when I started playing online the game defaulted to my character being a girl. I didn't change it because I didn't really care. As I went through the game playing online I found that everyone either thought I was a girl or thought I was a total noob and underestimated me. I try to use both to my advantage. Now it seems like everyone thinks I am a girl and I do nothing to discourage this. I think it helps me a little. Does anyone else play as a girl character and is it for this reason or another?

Second, this has really been pissing me off lately. I had 1 account. I got all the achievements so I started another account to get them again(I know achievement whore, why do you think I'm a girl, guys aren't whores). Well I had lots of friends on the 1st account, but when I see those same people online now they won't play with me. They thought I was fine to play with when I was level 10, but now that they don't know me with this screen name and I'm at a much lower rank( actually I just got to level 8 again, but I started playing the co op games again when I was around level 3 or higher) either they will leave or they will boot me right away. Or they do play with me and it seems like if they think I do anything they don't like they rip into me calling me a noob, saying I suck or something similar. I don't say anything usually about who I was and figure I really don't want to play with them if they are such dicks, I'm just really surprised. I used to play with a lot of different people and I was usually the highest ranked and they would say they really like playing with me. They were the ones that sent me the friend requests.Now I am the bad guy.

This came to a head today, I was playing today and on PC you can go to a custom menu where you can see who is the host of the game and what kind of game it is( if it is a race or GTA race it will show which race it is) and I see a guy I used to play with a lot. . So I join that game. It's a noose game. So I play the game and I get to where you pick up Petro and go to the helis. Well If the other guy is paying attention he will either come to where you are or jump in another van and go to the helis also.

Well he does neither so I go to where the helis are and wait for him til there are to many cops, and I fly away. This guy who used to be my friend says that I don't know how to play, don't I know what teamwork is, and so forth. A total dick. So I finally got pissed. He just leaves so I send him a message telling him who I was. I haven't heard back and I don't expect to, but I am amazed the difference. This guy used to seek me out to play and now I am a total noob to him.

Does anyone else have a similar experience? Or am I totally alone in the wilderness again?

If you play, play with everyone. You never know who has experience and who doesn't. When I 1st started this new account the 1st game I played was a TDM. It was these 2 level 8 guys against me who was level 0 and a level 1 guy. We totally slaughtered them. It was a 20 minute game and we got the 1st 10 kills. the game ended up about 3500 to about 1100 or something. I don't know my team mate, but he had more kills than I did. I think I had 15 so he had 20.

I am sick of these snobsssssssssss.

Yeah, no kidding. They all sought me out. I don't send out friend requests. I have an inferiority complex and I think they will be rejected so I don't send them out.

It is funny though. It usually goes like this. I see one of my former friends and I open up the chat window and type in " hey Max, what's up I used to be...." then they kick me. I never even get to hit enter so they know I'm trying to contact them. After the 4th time of that happening I quit trying to tell them anymore.

Now I'm making new friends. I tell them I have been through before so hopefully if I make a new account they will not do the same thing. I tell them what happened to me with my old friends. Probably the same thing will happen. I don't know why when someone gets to a higher rank that they get snobby. It happens to a lot of people.

Couldn't agree more, when i was a lower rank I was always being booted out of games (mainly hangman's noose) before the game had even started! Now i'm level 7 and doesn't happen so often now. Some people take the game wwaayy to seriously! Everyone starts at rank 0 but I think they forget it sometimes!

My "other" account is set up as a female and I've certainly had enough messages ranging from those asking if I was a girl to flat out requests to "date", however one dates on a video game

 

For me it was all a goof, dress in pink helmet, use high pitched voice changer, have a retarded username and then go out and kick some major ass. I guess some males are just lonely and looking for love, even if love comes in the form of man in his 30's having a laugh at perception.

 

Things I've done with my SJ account that piss people off have had people add me on my "other" account for no other reason than I have that one dressed like a girl.

 

Me, I assume anybody dressed as a girl in GTA 4 is actually a guy having a laugh.

 

It IS funny too, when you get like 4 people dressed as chicks killing everybody else in the game.

Yeah, it sure does. There are those who think they are just too damn special to "request" anything. I won't name names, but I've encountered people who actually refuse to send friend requests...even to people they like! I've ranked up to level 10 twice now, and I'm no snob. I'll add anyone who's nice, simple as that (especially if they have a headset).

 

 

EDIT - lol I almost forgot. As for the gender thing...I've always played as a guy. But once I hit 10, I have the chick in lingerie...she rox!!

If anyone wants to play, I will play with anyone, of any rank. Most people just want to play to win and I do also. If you want to be a dick I might play along for a little while and then blow up the heli or not finish the game if playing deal.

Some guy yesterday decided he was going to the roof to blow up my heli before I could take off. I successfully got airborne although I was smoking pretty good. So the guy goes along with the game like nothing happened. It was 3 guys so the other guy goes and kills both spawns and goes back to the house and waited for me. This was about 12 minutes in. I was flying around Broker at the time. So the guy wants to know why I don't go there. What an idiot. I say I won't finish til he leaves.Like a good he leaves after saying what an a-hole I AM. I got my money.

My "other" account (which got locked...ironic, huh...lol) is a female character (for basically the same reasons as SJ) and while we are talking about the characters I made an observation I was wondering if anyone else noticed:

 

The female characters run faster with the two-handed weapons! Faster than male characters and faster than when the female character is holding a one-handed weapon. When I get a chance (I am on vacation) I will post a video proving this.

 

Has anyone else noticed this?

 

As far as the Rank Ten Country Club, they are the main reason I have 5 or 6 different accounts in order to keep my rank below two on the extra accounts.

 

Nothing giives me more satisfaction in this game than being a major thorn in the RTCC's side as a 0 or 1!

 

And one last thing. This is kind of on topic (sorta) but didn't want to make a whole new thread for it.

 

In the past 3 weeks I have gotten 5 seperate Challenges through PSN from folks here at this forum saying that I talk sh*t here and they wanted to kick my ass and teach me a lesson. Now, these challenges came from names I did not recognize and the ppl refused to identify themselves.

 

What is the friggin deal with this sh*t? 1st, I will admit I talked a bit of trash here when the game first came out, but that was almost a year ago.

 

2nd, if you want a match with me, simply ask with some kind of civility! A friend request that reads:

 

"U tlk sh*t on frum...i thnk you a pussy and can kick your ass!"

 

...this is NOT gonna get me to play you. I got nothing to prove and believe it or not, kicking MY ass won't prove anything for you either.

 

And have some balls and stop lurking behind multiple usernames...it just makes YOU look like a pussy.

Couldn't agree more Captain_Obvis, I will game with anybody. I love adding lower ranked players and gaming with them, watching them grow and maybe learning something on the way from them.

 

I highly dislike the snobs and always have. Most of my theory behind griefing centered around picking on the elitist snobs as I got sick of "kick them" because somebody didn't have a 8, 9 or 10 star but then the same retards would bend over backwards for somebody dressed as a girl.

 

Chris - I've actually noticed I run fast with the M4, but for some reason I think I run SLOWER with the SMG (dressed as a girl, that is). Be fun to maybe do a side by side comparison.

It's funny though, play Free Roam as a girl and see how many people will let you in their car as opposed to being a guy. You'd be surprised.

Playing as a chick does have its advantages. Other players will follow you around like dogs following their master. Then they will start showing off their mods (like they're showing off their biceps) and they'll even tell you where to get it and all.

 

When I play as a guy...its the opposite treatment.

 

In regards to your friends snobbing you off when you're logged onto your 2nd account...why don't you sign into your 1st account and PM them that you have a 2nd account with such and such nick...? Works for me, I have 2 GFWL accounts myself.

nah I never kick ppl because of rank. Most ppl have more then one accout. So there's no telling if there noobs are not. I have all 5 accounts.

I play a female, because I am one, but the female characters bodies need improvement, they look pretty dumpy/gawky riding a bike or running. I am sort of happy I don't have to keep playing Nico Bellic though.

 

I haven't found anyone criticizing me or treating me special either way, but once in a while, you find guys that want to target you.

 

One time a guy yanked me out of my car in cannonball run (I turned around and yanked him back out and sped off) at the end of the race he was swimming in the water saying he wanted to drown...odd guy lol.

 

I haven't been playing long, so I mostly just race or play games that don't require teamwork yet, I'm afraid people would get upset with my noobness in those, aside from the female character, but Im getting pretty good at racing, even though this laptop only pulls in 22 fps.

Yea...lol It was the same for me at first...didn't want to piss ppl off cuz I didn't know what to do.

 

But, if you are interested in Coop, browse here. There are a bunch of guys (yes, guys) that seem to get off helping others figure out coop modes, get the coop trophies, etc. and there are a cpl threads dedicated to it!

 

And while my main account's character is a guy, I use female characters for ALL my other accounts for one simple fact: They run faster with two-handed weapons! (ok...maybe also cuz their 'sayings' are funnier...)

Back to the topic.

I got booted 9 times today trying to play Co op games today. 9 WTFFFFFFFF

I have been trying to get Bomb the base for a week and either no one will let me play or all they care about is getting lots of money and don't care at all about the times.

 

 

I finally got to play with these 2 noob guys, neither knew how to play. I got 7 kills getting the van( the last was left behind, those guys didn't get any) and we got back in about 2 minutes so we were doing good on time. I got to fly and I landed us on the ship not on the lowest level, but the next level up( I seem to screw up the landing on top a lot) so all those 2 guys have to do is go up the stairs and get onto the bridge to plant the bomb and I did the glitch. One died before getting it, but the other guy managed to get it before getting killed himself. But I finally got it. Here it is.
