Windows live error

Google's found no help to my problem, updating to 1.3 (was 1.1 prior) found no help either, am running windows vista 32bit, system specs are all very much over the required, this is the only windows live game installed.

 

Recently decided i wanted to play GTA4 again (have not done so for a good few months) started the game, got the rockstar social message spam, closed it down and ran the game.

 

Clicked on play, came up with message about signing in to windows live, i press enter to signal for the logon box to appear and bang, game stopped responding soon as i pressed enter. this happened again with every restart of the game. (i've since tried it a good 5 times with different options in the menu changed, same result.)

 

I'm assuming this means that xlive is corrupt, but it doesn't help that there's no messages of how to fix this and where to get the files to do so (or even which files to replace!)

 

Would rather fix my copy than re-install as it was a hell of an install time.

Try the GFWL update

had to find two .dll to remove the asi loader but it works now!
