An audio splitter is like 5 dollars, and gives you custom soundtracks on any game, and you can stop/pause/play/change tracks whenever you want.

 

And dale_brah, stop the double-posting man!

 

 

 

Ugh, just stream it live via the 360. The game will cut out the radio station music, and will play the music on your console/PC.

now that we have 60 votes is there any chance of a patch for this or a trial to see if anyone will like it experiencing first hand on the ps3,if it don go to well could remove?

Yeah, I'd really like the ability to upload custom tracks in GTA4. I really think they did a bad job with the classic rock station. They hardly had any licensed tracks that R* didn't create themselfs. The ones that had, like Smashing Punkins to name one, were one of the only licensed bands that were on the classic rock radio station.

 

I'd put in some real classic rock music like Rush, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin etc..

yes that would also be a good idea to have modern music instead of stuff they made themself,They should have alot of artists on there but have there aproval and we should be able to choose what song to listen to,that would be good instead of your own music i reckon.

Argh I was about to start the exact same topic! I started playing this game after like a half year and they still didn't do it?? WTF R*?? God I'm annoyed of every station there is, most of it is not my cup of coffee and even those that are, they just get on my brain cause I know them through and through. I wanna listen Alice in Chains, Jimi Hendrix, Soundgarden or Driver 1 soundtrack for instance! No I'm not going to listen game's audio through my LCD and listen my music on audio system. Do I really need to buy audio splitter and deal with the volume drop??? Why o why??? When I get out of car I wanna hear the ambience!

Any more news as to whether we'll have this function on our consoles or not? I'm surprised it wasn't implemented to begin with, especially since the previous GTA games had it on the PC and the PSP games have it. For me, the custom soundtracks in games is a must have for me (ever since LCS on PSP), it would probably be part of my main decision as to whether I buy the next installment of GTA. I would also like to ask any of the readers that have completed the poll, to visit my online petition at the petition online site (search for Independence FM), and help get this function implemented (after all, in all the press previews and reviews, it was already there, but was removed at the last minute).

yeah I'm surprise none of the pc versions of gta allowed custom mp3 tracks, boy that would have been great, lmfao... oh wait, all over gta3 had an MP3 station. lol it's hilarious seeing user videos with heavy ass f*ckin metal on the mp3 station.

Agreed. But I don't listen to music from my iPod when playing GTA IV, because it has a good soundtrack.

Always listening to Beat 102.7, Classics, Liberty Rock or Integrity 2.0.
