Ilovevicecity324
Hey guys, like, I just came up with this idea that I think would be totally cool to do for GTA IV for Xbox 360. I think like they should make it to where like you can visit like all 3 cities in one game. Like, have an airport in all the cities and you can like travel from Liberty City to Vice City, or Vice City to San Andreas, or San Andreas to Liberty City, etc. etc., Anyways, I think that would be something cool to have in GTA, have like access to all three cities in one game. Parky.
This has been brought up a fair few times mate, take a look in Justins pinned topic, which has an option for "America, Multiple cities" I'm sure you could have put your post in their and it would have had just as much impact
jplip
GTA4 have a different engine right? and Vice city and San Andreas uses the GTA3 engine... So the old Liberty city Vice City and SA will be the only maps compatible to combine
wade1972
If they were to do that, the game would be massive and would take even longer to come out. We have the new Liberty City done, so that's ok but they'd still have to build VC and SA. Plus they would have to create missions for each (and side missions, etc...) and that would take a heck of a lot of time. I'd love to see it, but we'd probably not see this game for 5, 6 years. With the amount of work needed to do this, they'd never do it. You may get one visiting mission (like in SA when you went back to Liberty City) or two, but that's about it. It'd be one heck of an awesome game though. It would take a long time to finish it for sure.
jplip
yeah.. that would be great if Los Santos, Las Venturas, San Fiero and Vice City will use the gta4 engine.. OHHHHHHH yeah! Yeah fo sho it will take about millions of minutes to take
Rucke
This kinda reminds me of the Godfather II game where you can fly between New York, Florida and Cuba.
WhiteRex
acctualy VC, LC and SA isnt 3 cities, they are 5: VC, LC, Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas.
Omnia sunt Communia
I'd prefer Rockstar to focus on a single city. That allows them to create a more in-depth, city orientated story as opposed to have a loosely tied together story spread across several cities. I didn't mind the inclusion of Alderney City in GTA IV because it didn't really feel like a separate city; just another part of Liberty. I wouldn't mind seeing a re-envisioned Miami featuring a fictionalized version of Havana; seeing as how the two are quite in real life. The one thing I don't like is cities that are geographically far apart being squashed together (like Las Vegas and Los Angeles in San Andreas). Shockwave_NewOrder
I'd also prefer single city games. With GTA: SA they spend most time on Los Santos. San Fierro was underused and underdevelopped. Las Venturas was more, but they didn't even have any gangs. The character of CJ only fit in Los Santos, he had no business outside In gta1, San Andreas was a city based on San Francisco. And before GTA:SA was announced, we expected it to be just the CITY of San Andreas based on San Francisco (instead we got San Fierro). I would prefer there to be: GTA: San Andreas, based on San Francisco and surroundings (like Alcatraz...) GTA: Los Santos: based on LA, with hollywood, ..... and maybe also the badlands GTA: Las Venturas: based on Las Vegas, including the desert, Area51 .... so that all cities can be fully developped. HugoMarques
Single city games, definitely. Those cities are "virtual" cities on "real" locations, near each inspiration city (LC close to NYC, VC close to Miami, SA close to California). Wich means that to fly to each city, you'd have to fly over the entire USA (and that's impossible, right?). So, no. Sorry...
Ultraussie
OK. For starters, San Andreas isnt a city, its a state. No one shall listen to you now. And did it ocour to you that LC is on the North-East coast, VC on the South-East, and SA on the South-West?
XZGamer71
Ultraussie, you're one to talk, you made a thread about playing as a Pedo. Talk about no one will listen to you mate. Anways, i think we should keep the cities (And states according to Einstein over there) In their own game, why have 3 to get used to when we can have 1 big one. Omnia sunt Communia
I wouldn't mind seeing this in-game as long as it was done via traveling to the airport and purchasing airline tickets. I wouldn't want to have them all on one big map as it would destroy the idea of them all being in separate locations across the United States as you'd pretty much have to make-up your own country. There isn't three cities, either, there's five: Liberty City Vice City Los Santos San Fierro Las Venturas That's just the GTA III era, overall you have:Liberty City (GTA 1) Vice City (GTA 1) San Andreas (GTA 1) London Anywhere City Liberty City (GTA III) Vice City (VC) Los Santos San Fierro Las Venturas Liberty City (GTA IV)
