TNTX32
1: Making Actors shooting while cutscene Difficulty: * Hello, I think some people wants to do that so here's how to do it. First, get the two actors for the cutscene. Here, I will select CJ as the shooter, and Zero as the guy that will be shooted. So, Actor CJ is friend, and Zero is close to him, and he's enemy. Get CJ any weapon you want Now make a Cutscene (MAKE SURE YOU MADE THE OTHER THINGS BEFORE CUTSCENE!!!), on the two actors. Have fun. 2: Making the player and his friends get out of his car after the objective. Difficulty: ** (or *** If more than 1 friends in the car) Sometimes, once the car parked you want to make CJ with the actor that were in the car outside. Here, I will choose Big Smoke as the friend actor, in the car. Make the checkpoint... Then, add a Teleport Objective of YOU (the player model for your mission) outside, or just where you want. Then go to the Big Smoke's location, and press Hide Actor. Then come back to the teleport and make a Big Smoke actor! (Same as the one that were in the car). Have fun! 3: Animating the player Difficulty: * This is explained on the video but wells I don't like videos tuts. Text is always better Sometimes you want to animate the player: That will be so simple. Once the checkpoint reached, you want to make the player animate in a Cutscene. So: My player is located at Palomino Creek. I'll now place a teleport objective to my player AWAY (Liberty City if you are unsure), and then I'll make an actor with the model of the mission playermodel. Surprise I can animate it. Make the cutscene after. Enjoy! Remember to reteleport your player back to Palomino Creek after cutsene, but before HIDE THE ACTOR! Have fun. 4: Making guard patrols (Friend or Enemy) Difficulty: * You too you may want to make some patrols, from Enemy, or Friend! (If Enemies come to attack you). The only problem is that once the actor has spotted an enemy and he killed him he will not continue patrol, after all it's not that bad! Example: I want to make CJ, patrol from X1 to X2. X1 ---------------------- X2 Make the actor CJ at X1. Then, give him a Weapon, a Walk Animation, and the animation-target will be: X2. Set its Behaviour and you're done! Feel free to do it with any kind of actor. You can also make an enemy/friend that stays here without attacking enemies, once he sees the enemy he will shoot. Make friend/enemy, on the place that you want. Set it's behavior. If Enemy, then, choose Normal. If Friend, then, choose Normal. You're done, homie! Have fun! I think those tutorials are user-unfriendly (no? ), so please don't say "it needs to be more user-friendly" because I know that. And I make them quickly. PatrickW
Good work, TNXTX32 Good and helpful information for people that are starting with DYOM. Maybe, you could make the section-headers stand-out a bit more, by choosing a slightly bigger size, and maybe another color for them. Keep up the good work. Added to pinned tutorial topic Edited April 8, 2009 by PatrickW GTA San Andreas Missio

12jango
Hey, also add this : If you want to make a cutscene from outside to an interior, don't forget to place a teleport objective to the interior. (I experienced when I place some actors and cutscenes without placing a teleport, the actors will not shown=>of course they were shown but only a chest!) Offtopic : Do you know how to put a picture in a topic??? Edited April 18, 2009 by 12jango
TNTX32
Sorry 12jango but this is not a trick at all. When there'll be the car features, the car will need to follow a path etc. The path must be loaded! So before creating the car I'll teleport the player to there! It's logic, it's not a trick To put images: DON'T USE IMAGESHACK! IT'S JUST THE MOST KNOWN BUT IT SUCKS! DON'T USE IT! You can use good things like Photobucket or the best uploader ever: http://www.fhqhosting.com/ Then you click IMG button in "Code Buttons" when posting and it will ask you to enter the url. I have uploaded an image and want to show it. The url is http://www.fhqhosting.com/ui/MyDo.png So i'll do this: IMG will ask me to enter the complete url of the image. I will enter the url! K?
