I stumbled across it looking for a way to fix this black screen of death everyone's been complaining about on mission "Are you going to San Fierro?" I tried replacing my save file with other Snp's but I get a crash as soon as it tries to load. I'm truly at a loss and I don't know how to fix this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, did you notice that my uploaded save file was label version 1.01 (Modified)? Yours was labeled 1.00 (Original). I'm not using any mods to my knowledge, so what's that all about? Girish Posted April 8, 2009 Share Posted April 8, 2009 We both have version 1 copy of the game. The GTASnP site checks the savefile for the exe version that it was played with. Since you have patched your game to v1.01, it shows up as v1.01 (modified) whereas since I'm playing the game with an unpatched exe, it shows up as v1.00 (original). No difference basically, we both can play with v1 savefiles. It's just that v1.01 patch blocks the modding ability of the original v1 game. Anyways, glad to help.
