Slamman
Ok, I have to admit, I'll be picking rock, but as mentioned in the last one, there's no genre lock. I really am partial to Black Crowes' Ed Harsch A runner up for his multi-instrumentalism, Paul Raymond Has to be someone who's still working today, not passed on, BTW Zakk Wylde is pretty good on keys, although one of the World's Best (underappreciated)?? I was going to add to the Runner's up, Rick Wright, but he has passed on so, Yes' Rick Wakeman

Rhoda
Obviously Jean Michel Jarre I love Jean Michel Jarre, but to me his live performances have ruined any chance of me considering him "the best". Disappointing doesn't come into it when he really doesn't do all that much but show his face.

But his last world tour was 100% real and live.
Mister Pink
Rick Wakeman from Yes is one of the best in my opinion. Also if you can call Richard D. James (Aphex Twin) a keyboardist. 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙸𝙲 𝙽𝙾𝙽 𝚂𝚃𝙾𝙿
Slamman
I wanted to put George Winston of Windham Hill fame, but for me, he's not prolific enough. Did get to see him live with the parents though, they all dressed up, and he wasn't, so it was also a good laugh!
RATEDR307
John Lord from Deep Purple? Or maybe JPJ from led Zeppelin? Maybe they're not the world's best, but I really like their work. Rick Wright is also great. And maybe Freddie Mercury for his piano work in Queen? I dunno.

devilrock28
John Paul Jones. He plays everything. Keyboard, bass, triangle and everything else known to man. He's pretty great at it too. Edited April 10, 2009 by devilrock28
makeshyft
Are we talking technical skill, or general mood? If we're going with mood and feel, I'll go with Ray Manzarek of The Doors.
Mike Tequeli
Ray Manzarek acted as the bassist of The Doors using a keyboard right? I always thought that was pretty interesting. When we say keyboardist we generally mean in a rock band, right? Which is why I'll not mention Aphex Twin. I'll go with Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead, he's a pretty talented multi-instrumentalist and his unusually amazing skill as an electronic musician has helped the band develop into something very different.
