Dodo-Pilot
What started as simple replacement texture (long time ago), ended completely different... This is CLEO based speedometer for SA. It features "illumination" for all the instruments along with damage effect, gasoline warning/nitro usage lamp and separate boat speedometer. There are 2 skins (designs) for you to choose from: default one is retro looking with metal edges and orange illumination. Alternative one is transparent-black, without edges and damage effect. Unlike the other one, this version have blue "illumination" effect. Primary speedo will be active for bikes and other road vehicles ONLY. (No trains, boats, bicycles, choppers and airplanes) The secondary one is designed for boats - no exceptions. If you want to disable speedometer in-game, press "DELETE" button. usfvampire
Please can you make a km/h version?
Dodo-Pilot
Please can you make a km/h version? Unlike "retro", the alternate skin (black-transparent one) already have both KPH And MPH. So the answer is no - at least for now
Function-X-
Awesome. Can you do a version that spins around the Gta iv radar ?
Dodo-Pilot
Awesome. Can you do a version that spins around the Gta iv radar ? No! When I started with textures, I was aiming for something realistic. In my opinion there's already too much of those "radar" speedometers But I can tell you this, someone already made speedometer for IV HUD. You can find it somewhere on GTA Garage... Function-X-
But they don't have the features nor the smexy design anyway great work and keep it up it's great like this
Dodo-Pilot
But they don't have the features nor the smexy design anyway great work and keep it up it's great like this The reason why I hate those radar speedometers is simple. When you disable the radar, speedo itself doesn't make any sense. If you don't like retro design, you can always go with alternate one - or even create your own. Anyway, thanks! uk_john
Firstly when you hit DEL the radar does disappear, but it is very hard to get it back unless you change to a new car and then it comes back. Secondly, and way more importantly, your mod crashes the game when starting the CV Woozie (first race in the country) mission race. Without your mod you get the postion you are in the race in a small box in the bottom right hand corner, with the mod the text is still in the bottom right hand corner, but instead of a white box you now have a white bar across the bottom of the screen. As your car crosses the start line you get a windows error as the game has crashed. It does this whether you have the radar active or have previously switched it off with DEL. You have to completely take it out of the game for the mission to work.

Because in this mod, radar & speedometer are not the same thing It's not hard to restore speedometer at all. Either simply re-enter the vehicle or press DELETE button again, and wait for 2-3 sec. As for CV Woozie, I don't know... If you're having problems, just delete SpeedoGasNOS.cs from CLEO folder, and restore it once the mission is completed. uk_john
Yes I meant speedo - was a late night! Anyway, it's a Mile Per Hour radar anyway LOL!

I was using DELETE, it works both ways (OFF & ON) @ms.cooldude Actually, it's a trick... When you use nitro, the speedo starts predefined countdown. Nevertheless, it's still useful
