Jazzmagic
Alright here is my problem. I installed GTA IV into a external HDD because my C drive, which is the default drive, didn't have enough space. So after installing I was able to play.I found out about patch 1.0.3.0 and downloaded it.I launched it and it took a while to patch successfully. After that I launch GTA IV.I go to the Options menu and go under Graphics. There was no additional settings to tweak there. I do not know why does this happen.I assume is because the output folder for the patch is C drive but my game folder is in G drive. So can anyone help me solve this problem? Thanks. P.S:The installer for GTA IV didn't let me change the place where it will install itself to.So when I clicked Install, they said 'There is not enough space to install these option(s).Please free up some disc space of modify your selections.'So I went to RegEdit and changed the ProgramDir to G drive. And all the previous patches also isn't working either. Edited April 7, 2009 by Jazzmagic
bp2018
I suggest moving some non critical files to the external drive and installing GTA onto the main drive, it isn't advised to game off an external drive.

And it may be very well caused by having it on another drive, since tht's pretty rare and therefore less likely supported.
