*This plugin is the returning of File Check Fix biggrin.gif so i decided to create separate topic

Fixed "STR10" error !

 

-= GTA IV FILE CHECK FIX 1.0.0.4 C Advance (5th patch) =-

 

Description:

In 1.0.3/4/1.0.0.4 removes MP files check. This is plugin for ASI Loader that removes game file checking and allows to change any game files. Also this plugin unbinds filelst.pak so u don't need any patchers. Fix is marked as "Advance" from 1.0.0.4 patch because 1.0.0.4 has the detection of asi loader, asi plugins and some other files like 1911.dll, this check is also disabled by this fix.

 

In version 1.0.3.0, 1.0.4.0, 1.0.0.4 file check is enabled only for MP-suspicious files -

 

  animviewer.dat

  cj_gta.dat

  default.dat

  gta.dat

  handling.dat

  melee.dat

  networktest.dat

  WeaponInfo.xml

 

Supports : GTA IV v1.0.0.0, v1.0.1.0, v1.0.2.0, v1.0.3.0, v1.0.4.0, v1.0.0.4 .

Ok... for some reason I still can't get into multiplayer with my modified handling.dat.

In version 1.0.3 file check is enabled only for MP-suspicious files -

 

  animviewer.dat

  cj_gta.dat

  default.dat

  gta.dat

  handling.dat

  melee.dat

  networktest.dat

  WeaponInfo.xml

If you modify the above files, you won't be able to get into MP. That's what Alexander meant by 'file check is enabled only for MP-suspicious files'.

 

You can probably modify files other than the ones stated in the quote.

This is nice, now we can use all kinds of visual tweaks and play in multiplayer, but we still can't have cars that go from 0 to 200 in 2 seconds or rocket glocks.

Hmm, this doesn't seem to be working for me.

 

I've got your ASI Loader installed, and this script installed. The only 2 files I've modified are cargrp.dat and vehicles.dat.

 

I can get past the mobile phone file check, i.e. it doesn't come up with the modified files message on the phone, but when I try to join a game, it just comes up with the same old message, but in full-screen on the black background.

 

Running patch 1.0.3.0, running the game as an administrator. Not sure what to do now. sad.gif

i tried running the script with an updated Alice and asi loader on a genuine V3 IV install and it crashed on the loading screen.

 

i'm running IV with nothing in the above list modified in offline mode, the game runs fine as soon as i delete the filecheck asi, i checked the logs for Alice and Asi loader and there were no problems listed.

 

i even went back to using an unmodified american.gxt, i assume that being in the UK i'm running the EU V1.0.3.0 GTAIV.exe.

Alright it is not working for me 2!

Here is a list of the files I modified:

pc\data\cdimages\gtxd.img

pc\data\maps\generic\procobj.img

pc\data\maps\props\vegetation\ext_veg.img

pc\data\timecyc.dat

 

Nothing else has been Modified! These files are part of the Environment Mod by kriller2 and

the AIRPLANES PATHS NEW v1.1 by MadManForever

Same problem for me. Even 1 modified file and multiplayer is not working. Please fix it.

And, please, let us using a modified handling.dat like with patch 1.0.2.0.

So basically, you want to cheat, but Alexander is against that like all sane individuals. You lose.

 

If you read the posts above, it says you cant edit any files that would allow you to cheat. And I wholly agree with that idea.

So you say this fixes file check, but you said you had to disable MP as per R* request, so how can you re-enable Alex ? I mean this is allowing ppl to cheat online or ?

 

I personally dont wanna play online w/ cheats, ts not fair, game AI's are hard enough sometimes then to have ppl play against you like that... I still have version 1.0.2 and only playt MP on console version.

 

If the plugin just lets you play SP w/ cheats/mods but still allows you to go online & play MP W/OUT cheats and W/OUT having to remove ALL your files/mods, then that seems ok, cuz R* basically did that when they put cheats in the phone for SP but disable them for MP ..

Basically, no.

 

This allows you to edit files that don't affect gameplay. Even files as simple as cargrp.dat are blocked as they can give you an unfair advantage.

 

(Imagine a A to B game where all the cars that spawned around you were infernus' or something.)

Hey Alex, thx for the fix.

 

It works great for most parts (weapon textures etc...) but it seems to stumble with bartekxyz's motion blur fix.

 

i can't get online with his mod installed, it only includes two innocent files in /common/data and /common/shaders.

I don't know how to explain it, but it just works... somehow.

 

Like, if somebody else was near me, I would see some of the cars I added, but not all of them, as it sort of merges the two people's files and gets a halfway point. Sort of. It seemed that way anyway.

 

It never loaded anything that 'didn't exist on their computer' as it's still just using cars that are in the game already... Hell, all the car spawners you see people using don't crash everybody out of the game when they spawn a patriot for example (that's not in the POPCYCLE_GROUP_NETWORK group).

 

But what everybody is really asking here is: Alex? Help? Pretty please? cryani.gifblush.gif

Yep, you go into GFWL at the start menu then go into players and click on anybody who is online and joinable, and join.

 

I've done that by the way, it still doesn't work. I can get past the phone in-game anyway, it's after I click a game to join that it comes up with the message.

I dont know if this asi file or what.. but when I am in the lobby and try to join a game, I just sent back to the lobby after the Loading screen.. confused.gif

Yeah, that's what happens with me, just boots me back to the lobby with no message.

If I try to join a game by clicking join session in GFWL on a friend's profile it comes up with the modified files message rather than nothing at all.

Hmm, still doesn't work. You sure you uploaded the right file? Windows says the asi file was last modified 2 days ago... mercie_blink.gif
