Fozzy Fozborne
Same thing I wrote in the other topic: Graphics cards cannot be replaced in all but the ultra ultra high-end laptops, even then it's very unlikely you can find one for $100CDN. The link you posted gives an error, but I'd guess it's something like a 9500GT/9600GT these are not really what you want when it comes to GTA4, you'll want something much more high end (like a 250GTS by NVidia, 4850 by ATI, or similar). Like I said, if this card is only for a laptop and I'm not just reading it incorrectly, don't bother it won't work.
Slamman
That's not true, Fozzy, Unless you call the Dell C600 Latitude high end, that's surprising! I own several! Best place remains EBAY!!

There are a few laptops that you can replace the card, but these are usually gaming laptops which are high end in price as well as performance. I heard that certain laptops contain a kind of hardware due to which we can replace the video card.... however they are Expensive.... as far as i remember, The charaming one(CharmingCharlie) told us about it... Slamman
Obviously my example is Dell, which is designed for replacement daughter boards, but Dell held on to the belief that they would offer several version graphics board per laptop, I am not sure the extent across the board, but this is always a nice move! I commend them, but I would like to see others do the same. Every time a daughter board is used, the repair process is simplified ten fold! Fozzy Fozborne
Considering a typical configuration for a C600 is a pentium 3 and 128 megs of ram, it's not really a modern computer by anyone's standards but your own. As usual, I'm talking about computers that normal people would actually consider upgrading, not dinosaurs that are several generations of hardware behind. Amended: Typical laptops don't allow video card upgrades. That card will not fit into any laptops.
DeeperRed
1% of Laptops have the ability to change graphic cards and even then its f*cking expensive. I have the option to remove my 8700GT and replace it with 9800GTX... but its going cost me £350 I could get a more power card for my desktop for half the price Fozzy Slamman doesn't understand Modern computers. Fozzy Fozborne
I know all too well... seems like every time someone talks about an i7 processor with dual 4870 x2's Slam has to chime in about how pentium 3 machines are not capable of upgrading to terabyte hard drives which just ruins the conversation and distracts us while we tell him to stop talking. It's the stupid way Nvidia names their cards, that's why it's so confusing.
Slamman
By and large it's still a larger number, at least a newer Gen card, if not best for gaming, so keep that in mind, Do some searching for people putting the thing thru it's paces, that's what I neglected to do, and my card was bought new (via eBay)
