Chewie
I want to get GTA IV for my computer and my graphics card that came with my computer has 224MB. I have a Intel Pentium 4 3.40 Ghz. I saw a video of a kid playing it on a Intel Pentium 4, that's the same as mine. He put all of his settings to the lowest possible. He has a graphics card that has 256MB but I have 224MB. That's only a 32MB difference. He used the latest patch, that is the 1.0.3.0 patch and he gets 20-30 FPS. He doesn't get any lag, at all. To me, that is a playable speed. I have two gigs of ram on my computer and he has two gigs of ram. I basically have the same specs as he does but he has a 256MB graphics card. Would the 224MB Integrated graphics card change the FPS of my game play? If you want to watch the video that I'm talking about. Go to this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnEb2rNXQhs...re=channel_page So I want to know. Would the 224MB Integrated graphics card change the FPS of my game play? Would I get 20-30 FPS with all of the settings on low? If I upgraded to four gigabytes of ram, would I get higher FPS? Thanks.
3volution
No way dude sorry. The reason is, that he has a GRAPHICS CARD. This hardware is twice as powerful as the same onboard chip or graphics chip for laptops. So you MUST upgrade, you won´t get playable FPS with that system. Would you like to buy a new graphics card? Then look also for a new motherboard and CPU because your graphics card alone would´nt solve your problem. At least you don´t need to increase your RAM because 2GB are more than enough. i would only recommend you to upgrade some RAM too, if you´re playing at least on a resolution of 1680x1050 because you can take some space for the graphics (look at the command line threads or readme in the GTA folder)
Drag_Drift
You won't enjoy the game. All on low and reflections and shadows off would give you 40FPS, but would also give you a game that looks like it came from 1998. Get better hardware dude.
