ubecool Posted April 6, 2009 Share Posted April 6, 2009 Perhaps I am mistaken, but after 2h of research first on the internet and then on this site I come to the conclusion that I need to copy modified dx files into the game dir to emulate a xbox controller in order to use a joystick (and possibly edit a .ini file). Is that true??? Did R* not include a native joystick support into the game???? Are they serious??? I mean there are helicopters and I want to be able to just use a Logitech 3D Extreme Pro joystick without messing around with manual copying or manual adjusting config files! ESPECIALLY IF I PAY A LOT OF MONEY FOR A GAME !!!! Perhaps I was not able within these two hours to identify the post (some of them are huge) which would help me. Help is greatly appreciated. But if this is really the solution (Post "How to play GTA IV using your generic controller") this is definitely the last R* game I am paying money for! Perhaps something to my background: I am working for 12 hours a day during the week and after a hard working day I really do not see the need for manual configs in my spare time just to use a joystick in a game.
