bigfatgooner Posted April 6, 2009 Share Posted April 6, 2009 Hello all, I am writing to anyone who wants/needs the 'Taking It For The Team' trophy for GTA IV online ps3. I have all the necessary wins in the different online modes but for some reason it didn't register, I have since read on a number of different independent forums that in order to achieve said trophy all the online modes must be completed in ONE single session. This is not really a huge problem but I don't really understand why this is. Hence, I am looking for 3 people in order to help me achieve the trophy, I don't particularly mind whether the people who want to help already have the trophy or not but if you don't then of course we can help eachother out in obtaining the trophy. You need at least 4 people - 2 teams of 2 - to take part in the online team modes, essentially it will break down like this... ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ TEAM 1 TEAM 2 TEAM DEATHATCH - One win each for Team 1 & 2 (Two games total) TEAM MAFIYA WORK - One win each for Team 1 & 2 (Two games total) TEAM CAR JACK CITY - One win each for Team 1 & 2 (Two games total) TURF WAR - One win each for Team 1 & 2 as both Jamaican Gand & Russian Gang (Four games total) COPS 'N' CROOKS - One win each for Team 1 & 2 as both Cops & Crooks on both 'One For All' & 'All For One' modes (Four games total) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Each team would allow the other to win in each mode as needed, each mode would be as short as possible and would consequently take between 1-2 hours total to achieve. I'll probably be checking this forum again in a few hours and my psn friend list for any messages, message me if interested and we'll try to work out a time hopefully this week when we are all available for the task. Not that hard really, just know what ones you have came out on top on and work on the others. I got mine a couple of weeks ago for winning a Turf War. All wins must have been from about the middle of december, the CnC wins must be as both Cops and Crooks in one game (not just a total score win). I can attest that it does not need to be done in one session... I got mine in January over about a 2 week period. Now I just did All For One and started as Cops, I took out their Boss and then in round 2 our Boss was taken out but we won by $200, so did i win anything there? Did I just win as Cops on AFO, or as both Cops and Crooks or neither???? I don't quite understand how you WIN as each in each game type???? Spuds725 Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) I believe the on the stats screen it says "team _ wins" if you win-- for each "half" of the game-- not just at the end-- It should be the score for each "half" of the game-- not total score-- (I may be wrong on this-- a crook/boss escaping may "trump" the score you get....) You DON't have to do it in both CnC modes... (all for one and one for all) HTH.. bigfatgooner Posted April 7, 2009 Author Share Posted April 7, 2009 OK Spuds725 cheers. btw - was it you I was reading the other night having a go at some dude (Someguy In Forum) about getting 2,000,000 kills on VC, if it was...LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!! Cracked me up, obviously 2,000,000 is ludicrous, btw what would you say is the best way to get Godfather status on VC, currently not playing it because of IV but I believe I'm on roughly 576,000 and that took me AGES!! I parked a heli in my Hyman Condo and keep blowing up with the rocket launcher (obviously I have 100%) which moves it up 30pts a time so roughly 4500 - 5500 pts per hour. Spuds725 Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Yes it was me, but that was quite a while ago...and it was an interesting method-- I do believe it possible how he did it-- but the trainer was needed to exploit the spawn point though-- I would not doubt there is another spawn point in a mission somewhere that could respawn the NPCs that fast however it would take some serious time to find it... Here is a vid the guy posted -- this inside the mission "cannon fodder"-- this spawnpoint shows up after the sniper on the roof spawns (short cut scene), but goes away after you kill the sniper, you can't get to this spot without a trainer-- the sniper will kill you if you get anywhere near the spot, he doesn't even have to have a line of site to you for you to die-- the new gang members are spawning as soon as the previous one is killed-- the VC godfather discussion should be kept in the VC section-- (if you are interested) Sorry this is off topic-- Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games.... They are just as pointless as playing the game-- just something to do that you may or may not find entertaining/challenging.
