Something's going very wrong there - it isn't difficult to get a time that will beat the mission (say 2m 40s) without any cheats. Just aim for the next red marker in the closest to a straight line you can manage, and make sure you use the 4 wheel steering (right mouse button, or whatever your handbrake is mapped to) on the downhill hairpin bends. And don't fall in the lake. Maybe make sure you have the frame limiter on, but it shouldn't make that big a difference in this mission. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Don't want to be the winner, you have to do it within 6:30. Fifth place is also good! Don't use the handbrake, because it won't work. When you really can't pass it, you can ask for a SNP. Now BE USEFUL and tell the poster how HE can do it. and the rest of us will be finding it useful too. Best time I have is 5:14. I'm skepticle of anyone claiming less than 5:00. As said: Drive as straight as possible pylon (Red Pillar) to pylon. Use short cuts. Don't use the roads unless they are in that line. Careful with the cliffs. Although I find that some can be driven over, Test/use care. Use the Four Wheel steering on the sharp turns. (It replaces the hand brake control) Clip the pylon. You don't have to drive through the center. Just get close enough to trip it. Watch the Radar for the next Pylon, if you don't know the course already. Don't abort if the Monster rolls over, you may be able to get it upright again. Keep the throtle engaged except on turns. Less than 5:00 is probably the easiest time to get provided you do it in the right weather and you're not facing any lag. I have personally managed a time of 3:54. And here's the record by OrionSR. Kommrad: The Four-Wheel Steering replaced the Hand Brake. Pressing the Hand Brake key makes the 4-wheel steering possible, It does not brake the speed of the vehicle. The Monster still has the conventional brakes, by using these brakes and the Four Wheel Steering (handbrake-button) at the same time you are able to make sharp turns.
