flicko
Nope Have fun Correct. There is no way of reversing the cheat to undo it. This is why the warning will display above your options when you are about to save, if you have any cheats enabled. The warning is not there because cheating makes it physically impossible to complete the game 100%, because it doesn't; that is a common misconception. No cheat will make it physically impossible to complete the entire game, but some cheats, a la pedestrians riot, will make it nigh on impossible to complete certain tasks, a la Taxi fares, if you haven't done so already. That is why the warning is there, and I'm afraid you have no other alternative than to re-start your game, if of course the cheat gets too much too handle. Using cheats is perfectly fine, though I do not endorse it for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in missions/tasks etc. I most certainly do not endorse using permanent cheats (Peds Riot, Bis Tires to name a couple). Definitely steer clear of those, or do not save with those in place. It will prevent you from occuring such problems. Moving to the Cheats & Tricks section. radioman
The only two ways to get rid of the effects of that cheat, are (1) Start a new game from scratch-as flicko has suggested, or (2) (the easiest way) load a previous save that does not have the cheat activated.-since there are 8 save slots, you should have 7 saves to choose from. But flicko is right, NEVER use peds riot/peds attack cheats as they can make the game extremely hard to near impossible to complete even the story line-not just 100%. I never use cheats on the PC version, and the only way I use cheats on PS2 is with AR Max or Gameshark, that way if I activate a cheat that makes a mission impossible to pass-(like in SA where if you have the no wanted level cheat active, one of the SF missions is impossible to pass), all I have to do is restart the PS2 without the AR MAx and when the game loads, there will be no cheats active. So, what i'm saying, is if you want to use cheats, it is best to use a cheat device like Ar Max, so it has no permanent effects on your save. Hope this helps. flicko
Another tip- If you decide to cheat, and use the more permanent cheats in the near future, it's always best to save on a completely different save slot. As radioman has stated, there are eight to choose from, and, providing you have enough memory space, there's no harm in saving in a new one. That way you can go back to your original save if the going gets too tough, and you can till play your save with the cheats enabled. I always, always make sure I save my game in at least two different slots. It's saved me loads of hassle in the past, and I'm sure it will save you a lot of hassle in the future as well. It doesn't harm your game in any way, and it always provides a back-up.
