Gouveia
Meh. You are all a bunch of pussies. I'm running with no protection on a XP SP1, only on porn and warez sites. No Conficker untill now.
TruXter
The anticipation of death. can take your whole life and leave you in stress and fear. death ends that. The anticipation of death, is worse than death it's self. Somewhere on the net, the writer of that worm is laughing a huge LOL because his best April fool's joke is still going. That's where you're wrong. Whether it's a single person or a group of programmers; it's not like they announced to the world that they were going to unleash their fiery on April 1st. Microsoft made an announcement stating that there was a great risk of an attack of the virus on that day. It was not an April Fools joke. It's incredible of the amount of ignorance that comes along when this particular subject is brought up. Edited April 2, 2009 by Zxirius

Pico
Meh. You are all a bunch of pussies. I'm running with no protection on a XP SP1, only on porn and warez sites. No Conficker untill now. Being afraid and not using the computer wouldn't necessarily make some one a pussy. It's a some what founded fear, although I had huge doubts anything would happen, as nothing did. But to run Windows with no AV... that's just stupid. Especially if you visit porn and warez sites. I'd bet everything that you've got at least 10 infections on that computer. While they may not be severe, they're there.
Rebel
Well I guess I'm lucky then if people have already got it. Then again I don't ever visit a lot of different websites and stick to about 4 so hopefully I'm okay.

copperwire93
I read this from wikipedia, this CC will disable auto update, and block DNS, I guess I got this last year. Mc Afee and AVG also can detect this with On Demand Scan. Other AV like Avira, Norton has a new updates, and don't forget to update your Windows security. Lastly have a safe surfing, don't trust any ads from website. This hacker really cool, he/she/they can make a huge money with this knowledge. But I take he/she/they as person with no honor if I got this worm. Edited April 2, 2009 by copperwire93

I should use my Pentium III until April over, who's the first one umm... 'invented' April Fool? Edit: At last I managed to remove them, just need to restart to complete removal. I might have mentioned this somewhere here, but the other day I was on DeviantArt (and that alone, no other sites open), and I got some pop up for some fake AV and it tried to install it. Avira caught some Trojan trying to get through... glad I had it. If I didn't I would have been f*cked. Point is, I was just browsing deviantart at the time. Possible I accidentally clicked an ad, but still. Edited April 3, 2009 by Pico

SLAYERMAGGOT
To remove the Conficker Virus you can use Symantec, F-Secure, McAfee, Trend Miro or Bit Defender. And for sure Kapersky and other famous Anti-Virus-Apps.

Seeing all 6 images and not using a proxy means 'Normal/Not Infected by Conficker'. I know I'm just saying that maybe I should get some AV stuff. I think I may have a virus because of how weird my computer has been acting. For some reason if I click a link 5 times out of 10 it takes me somewhere completely unrelated. I clicked a few picture links and EVERY time it sent me to a google search of some porn related stuff. Like I'll click a picture to go to a site and I can see the URL at the bottom but then it sends me to a google search results for "BDSM" or some other crap. It was weird as hell. Also on yahoo searches when I click on the results for any search I do it sends me to some random page. Anybody got any idea what that might be? Edit: OK this is weird. I think Yahoo itself is crapping out. I'm not even on my computer and yahoo still takes me to the wrong place when I click on search result links. copperwire93
sound like you got worm/malware that interrupt your internet. I got worm once, whenever I search for PC games it's direct me to porn, the ads turn to porn, hell! I'm afraid to use that laptop again and format it. Edit: Fixed!!! Actually, from what I've heard, the person/group who made this malware possibly live in a country which doesn't celebrate the holiday. Though, that was just CNN, so carry on. SWEETSAPRIK
Lots of people still seem to be in the dark about what was supposed to happen on the 1st, who exactly is actually at risk of being infected, and why it's not over just because the world didn't end on the 1st. Not just in this topic either. Anyway, I thought this was interesting. Also might help clear some of that up. http://i.gizmodo.com/5197148/how-the-confi...-got-much-worse PяopagaиdaIиc. I figured it wasn't over. Seeing how there was just a risk of big events on the 1st, and nothing happened, it seemed like it was going to turn into an even bigger problem. Some people don't realize how bad this can turn out to be, and that's too bad. Those kind of people are the prime targets, they just can't see that.
