Urban Legend
What's up? I have a few questions for you guys. Firstly, the Packer Truck, have you got this thing to work correctly? How far did you go? Storing vehicles in the lower rack seem to make the packer explode. > How many vehicles can you store in the airplane hangar in Las Ventures? > I got in 982,000 debt with the casino, received a few phone calls, but no attackers. Did a mission for Crash and it was erased to 00000000 but now I got $12. Q: Do you ever get attacked by a car full of thugs if you stay in the red for too long? Girish
The Packer works only in the mission 'Cop Wheels'. You cannot get cars onto it normally without modding your game. The airplane hangar stores only 4 vehicles just like all other garages, although it seems pretty big in size. Storing any more will cause additional vehicles to disappear. And yes, you do get attacked by the Mafia if you're in debt and if you're in LV. They drive Sentinels. They won't come after you if you're outside of LV. Urban Legend
Regarding the Packer... I was having some luck transporting them on the top level. Way more than the lower level. It was funny what had happened when first putting a Walton up there. It was the closest gas station to the airstrip... guess I missed the sign that said "9.0ft Clearance" Any idea why completing a mission for Crash would erase 900,000 worth of debt? lil weasel
Crooked cops, of course. Also, I managed to transport 4 vehicles on the packer, BUT I had to drive so slowly that It wasn't worth the while.
Mainland Marauder
I've personally had no luck getting the Packer to be anything but a portable ramp, which in itself can be useful. I may have to start playing PC and install that mod to make it work to haul cars however. That might make moving some of these proofed cars in missions a bit easier "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be." Steve Crook
I think that most people want to use the Packer to get more than one vehicle to the export crane in the SF docks at the same time. I've found another way to do that - by accident. Literally by accident. I accidentally crashed into another vehicle while I was on my way to the export crane. The driver followed me all the way into the docks and when I got out of my car I shot him. It was then that I realised that the car he was driving was one I wanted to export! He'd delivered it to the docks for me Steve
Cronyne
It makes a very fun way to destroy vehicles. Cram it into the bottom shelf, then lower the ramp all the way, causing the vehicle to be crushed, and explode.

Good job, Steve
Cronyne
Luckily my modified Phoenix fits PERFECTLY on the bottom shelf. Real hard to transport it from Fort Carson to Palamino Creek though, because cars feel the need to go 5000 MPH and crash into me. But the car stays in for quite a while. Conclusion. Yes it is possible to hold cars on the Packer as long as you can drive responsibly, you're fine. Don't worry much if the cars wobble, they WILL. Worry when they start actually slipping off. But the top shelf MUST be straight, not down when you begin to drive, or the cars WILL just fall.
