If you're making a linear shooter, don't bore me by making me check every single corner of the level before I progress into the next section of the map.

They're hidden collectables, it's suppose to make you stop and look around if you want them dumb ass.

No sh*t, I collected almost all of them on my first playthrough, but it's boring as f*ck to search for them. This game at its core is about fast paced linear action. The whole point of golden guns is that they're hidden into corners, I understand that. But it's BORING to look for them. It doesn't add anything to the game, it just makes it less fun, because if your a perfectionist like me you have to check every corner of the map before deciding to move on, while the main character is telling you to hurry up.

I've been playing like sh*t ever since i got out of the rookie playlists online. Ever since I started playing the normal playlist i don't think i've had a positive KD. i have no idea what it was. might have to play some single player lol

what kinda loadouts do you guys use? i usually duel wield pistols with a grenade, paranoia and sutures. i'm rank 11.

If the seller doesn't call me tomorrow to deliver the game at my house or anywhere else, I'll ask for my rights to get my money back. devil.gif

Just some tips that work for me. The cover system is essential to the gameplay even though it was downplayed. If you use free-aim controls, which I recommend for several reasons, there are some good things to practice for when you start to play on Hard and eventually Hardcore. When in cover practice blind fire on enemies who approach. When you become alright at that try to aim at something in the distance while behind cover. Then "pop out" from cover to see if your blind aim was good. Hopefully your reticle will be on that spot or near it. This is also good practice for your aiming(free-aim) in general I find.

Then I wish you all the luck in the world on Old School mode, because it removes button-based cover entirely.

Wow what a great game. I played through the first 4thing chapters of the campaign and was in awe. Then I hopped on multiplayer and was impressed even more. I'm doing very well right now (1.19 kd which is very high for me in any game) but I'm still on the rookie playlists. And it says I'm already the 19thfirst highest scorer in the crew put of 299the members lol.gif some people must just be waiting for V and joined early.

Sorry about this but my phone has a very stupid auto correct system and its very hard to go back into what I wrote and took out all the errors.

Just finished it after what must be 10 hours of no stop gameplay. Plus an hour yesterday. What an amazing experience. Love it, love it.

I do wish that we got some more bullet time to play with. I mean, shoot dodging takes up like half your bar, whereas in the other ones it took barely anything. I felt that I used the cover system more than I wanted to. Doesn't mean it isn't awesome to just run past a guy in BT and see Max dodge the bullets flying by his face.

Really? f*ck me. I guess I'll just have to make do with crouching behind cover. Bullet time is not as plentiful the harder it gets so you have to use it more strategically. This might take awhile as I'm at the swamps on Hard.

Did anyone else spend 17 hours trying to kill the guys in the airport hanger, I swear I jumped for joy when I pasted that bit, but on a side note I loved this game, I loved everything about it.

I just finished chapter 4 on free-aim/medium -- for a perpetual n00b like me that's plenty hard enough. I guess this game will silence the critics who say games are getting too easy these days.

I'm loving the guns I've used so far in it.

i don't like bananas, but i don't go out of my way to insult the f*ck out of anyone who does.

Reminds me of some atheist freaks but that another topic.

Seeing how once a great PC game was neglected for PC, I have the right to be skeptical about another cover/multiplayer-based console shooter.

This year I was hyped about Binary Domain so I don't wanna repeat the same mistake again.

There are 14 chapters in all.

And no Acts?

Of course you have the right to be sceptical, that doesn't give you means to insult the game though.

Edited, phone kooked the sentence.

It was the most frustrating for me in the whole game. Not because the guards were difficult, but because the explosives were so hard to lock on to. Even when you were pointing at the explosives in the air, the soft lock would sometimes switch over to someone's head and get you killed. That happened to me about 6 times before I passed. The game was awesome though biggrin.gif

I'm loving the enemy AI on the hard difficulty. Because I can't just sit in cover and wait for enemies to pop out, they make me run and fight with them. The only time I use it, is when I have 5 dudes shoting and me or when I dont know where the enemies are.

Hard difficulty, free aimer !!! icon14.gif

From watching some walktrough, I made a little statistics out of Max's outfits.Note I'm only counting the outfits on which Max still has hair, so bald Max outfits will be excluted untill I finish watching the walktrough.

Now I've played many online sessions, Gang Wars, Payne Killer, Death Matches...and I gotta say...the Deathmatch and Gang Wars beat the crap out of GTA's and RDR's deathmatch and gang wars...

One thing that can be quite annoying in this game is that i keep getting checkpointed with f*ck all ammo and unable to grab any other weapons. Just then i had 3-4 guys rushing me in an enclosed area whilst i've got some armoured heavy machine gun dude peppering me and ripping what little cover i had.

It's now adding even more of a challenge trying to survive encounters.

Edit: Just got up to the part where Max shaves his head, with the narrative and music i don't think Rockstar intended for that bit to be funny but once again the picture of Alan from Hangover had me grinning like a Cheshire cat.

One thing that's annoyed me though, is that all the Portuguese dialogue in the game is only given in Portuguese. I thought the subtitles would translate it, but nope, they're in Portuguese too. I know it's realistic and all, but the NPC conversations were one of the best things about the first two games, and it sucks that I have to learn a new language to enjoy them.

They did that because Max is a stranger in a strange land. He doesn't understand the language. Leaving the Portugese untranslated solidifies this so you the player can feel just as lost and an outsider as he does.

Some little V fanboy on youtube told me this game sucked and it was only fodder for GTA V. Fortunately the reviews are proving otherwise that this is a genuine gem of a game. Can't wait to play it! inlove.gif

I'm done waiting. I'm geting it for the 360 today, I just to to play it.

Anyways, I think I'll enjoy it better on the 360, with a bigger screen.

I might get the PC version later this year if I think it's worth it. The thing I was worried about is hackers messsing up the PC version more so than the console version.

Before I make this choice, does anyone think it's a bad idea?

Very bad idea. Only 9 days till PC release. And it's a TPS.

I agree but that's an obvious statement. After all, MP3 is a shooter and nothing else. Where RDR

and GTA IV are so much more then just a chaotic fragfest.

R* re-invented the 3rd person shootergame with MP3 though, no doubt about it.

However, most maps, even the 16-player ones, feel claustrofobic to me. Makes me wonder if the pc

version has 32 slots. If it has, they'd better throw in some larger maps.

That said, current maps are great fun to play with less players. I had my best fights in 3v3 TDM's

on Rooftops of Moderno. It's my favorite map thus far. Can't wait to play it on the pc without any

form of auto-aim. This map has a heli on a platform and I keep laughing at people trying to get in, lol.

And what's the thing with those ingame nametags and healthbar? They stand out like Michael Jordan

on a midget convention. On medium/large-range you see the nametags well before the character. And

being used to TMW with team blips only it kinda gets annoying. They really should add more transparancy

to them. Those healthbars also look like they're stolen from SA-MP smile.gif

Still, I give the multiplayer a big fat 10/10. I'm pretty sure I will play it alot untill V comes out.

@The Wereodile

Haven't played sp yet and jumped straight into mp. Gonna start on the storymode tomorrow night,

already prepared myself with a supply of snacks and dope. Quality games are so rare these days

so my plan is to enjoy that 1st playthrough as much as possible.

Yes yes ya'll.

What R* did with the multiplayer is yet simple, but keeps me going.

The customizable player, whether it is clothes, guns, equipment, abilities, armour...

It's almost the same 4-5 maps at mine every time, but entertaining to the fullest. A warzone.

Love ther melee combat, the last minutes lying on ground, the screen when you got killed...
